Turin even though I liked the different times that I had been there earlier, during the Winter Olympic Games was even more beautiful. I had been to other editions of the Winter Olympics (Albertville and Lillehammer in Norway to France) and every city, even the usually less interesting takes on a very special and personal atmosphere. The normal beauty of Turin has only amplified this effect, a city overrun with tourists and athletes from around the world, new architectures or renewed for the occasion, temporary exhibition spaces, very efficient services better than those tested in Nordic Lillehammer. The races took place especially in the provinces but in the evening the central squares and streets of the capital and were illuminated for a festival filled with a cosmopolitan crowd festive spirit that embraced their heroes during the award ceremony in Piazza Castello. I have come to Turin by train with a friend and purchased tickets previously booked on the internet we started with a free train for Pinerolo, where we witnessed a game of curling, which saw the Italian national team commitment. From here, after eating in the restaurant marquee specially prepared for the Games, we're back in town to breathe a bit of Olympic atmosphere. The evening did not find accommodation in Turin we went by train to Asti to sleep in a hotel booked on the web. The next day by train from Turin to Asti and from here with free transportation provided by the organization, we climbed through the Val Tison Villar Perosa (the country of origin of the Agnelli family), Perosa Argentina, stopping in Pragelato, where we witnessed Nordic combined race for the first test of the ski jump then to the bottom. We then continued with a free shuttle bus to the famous tourist resort of Sestriere, where the Olympic trials were held in Alpine skiing. Here we have sought and found a neighbor engaged as video technician for a famous television. He had an apartment available in the center and from the terrace you could see the tracks of the slalom and the famous landmark of the locality. Still free bus we moved to the nearby Cesana Pariol with a cable car where we went to see the bobsleigh and luge. With the new cable car back down we took a shuttle bus to and from here Oulx by train to Turin. Once in the city we headed to the Ice Palace to watch the final of women's ice hockey tournament after which we took the train to our hotel in Asti. On waking we made a brief visit to the historic city before returning by train to Turin, where we'll be all day. In the morning visit to the Olympic park created for the occasion in which there was also an opportunity to try ice skating or curling. Here we bought a card that allowed us to visit some important places citizens. For reasons of time, to avoid the Egyptian Museum of the Risorgimento and the one who already knew concentrating on a tour of the Royal Palace with sumptuous rooms full of tapestries and furniture Savoy sull'Armeria Reale, the Church, which houses the Holy Shroud of which however is only visible A copy of the sheet that according to religious tradition, wrapped the body of the crucified and on the Mole Antonelliana which houses the Museum of Cinema already described in "Piedmont-Turin." The card has also allowed a tourist bus excursion to discover corners of the city a little less known. In the evening we went to the ice rink to watch the race running with shoes. After the test we went home by train.
