If you want to take a bath in ancient times more 'feature of remote villages in Liguria, then you should not miss the visit to the ancient village of Triora. We work hard to get, bends and hairpins mountain, up the mountain and finally Triora.
Two parts of the city:
Triora ancient village (1200-1300)
Triora new.
Parking on the street below and we climb a ladder for a road made of stones that are eye just like the rest of the time quietly around us. Everything is the time, houses, ruins, walls, the village is high, fortified and terribly old, but unfortunately not restored under renovation. Sure there's lots to do, it's all old and ancient, but a charm without limits.
What surprised us is that very nearly every house, every wall, every stone there is a label that describes the place and its people. Climb up the winding road we find ourselves after 10 minutes of breath and muscles that go up ..... at a crossroads, we are for the ancient alleys of the village, one of the most 'beautiful in Italy.
Cost of the visit 0, actually now there is no reason to pay ...... if you are able to experience everything 'that remained, the narrow streets and arcades, squares, church ....... and then it makes sense to pay more because it's a beauty and curiosity very high.
The village is a maze of alleys endless stone, uphill and downhill, narrow, wide, ending in nothing, or communicating with other alleys. E 'exciting climb on those streets in a very special to be savored until the last breath of cool wind that blows between arcades and homes destroyed seeds.
E 'a charming village with a long history and mystical km ..... witches, goblins, houses, characters, places, old furnace, terracing, grass growing through the remains of an ancient castle which remains only a wall .. ...... and the inhabitants of hyper Triora are proud of the village that is slowly rising between the mountains and modern life that is being developed under the village.
Some stretches of the lower village, some passages are not lighted, shadowy, cold and wet, that's where most 'do you feel immersed in the era in which the village was alive and well and inhabited by the Ligurian '200.
In some focal points of encounter between 2 / 3 carruggi grow and survive small squares covered with large openings to the outside overlooking the green valley, some points are really from caver and all to observe.
A large church is located in a square wide and well lit by natural light and some small and tiny houses are still inhabited by people who do not know .... but they are bravely. Apartament houses, antique, made of gray stone with the only renewal of the exhaust pipes with old plastic bottom view.
It 'all very charming, a charm almost shabby, old and charm .... pairing guessed!
Up and down 'to the streets come to a place called the Cabotina witches Triora because it was inhabited by witches who were tried at one time but still do not know if they were killed or simply left to get away from the scene, a tiny cottage is dedicated to them, almost as in an old cave, behind metal bars, there is a revival of the witch and the mystical cauldron, a mannequin and a real ambience very well done with lots of explanation to the right to speak and inform about witches Triora.
The old furnace is another re-enactment with dummy pretending to bake bread ovens from ancient stone of the place.
Today there are bakeries, grocery stores, souvenir shops are selling dive fairies, goblins and witches ... witches' hats and giftware.
But what about the village?
Well I was fascinated, amazed even in its compactness and simple little thing. all as well ....... and then 'photos pictures of each part of the village that particular issue evokes a long history and now unknown to us that he will not return'.
In little more than 'one-hour tours all, a stage at the fountain included. The inhabitants are peaceful people and the suburbs, kind and loving nature. And so 'in a small shop buying my classic souvenir and downhill start to walk towards my car.
How many people, how many tourists we met, the village is far from unknown, German, French and British, Italian e. .... Who said the suburbs are not a source of enthusiasm and tourism?
In a few years many parts will be renovated while respecting the originality of the place, maybe it is worth going back ....... is the case that I suggest you throw out the nose in the village because a place like 'I think there In no other region of Italy.
The village is along the famous streets of Oil-rich interior of Liguria, between olive trees, villages, towns, nature and mills. In the street there are many things to see, from mills to small towns that sell local products of the place.
