Take the train to Riomaggiore La Spezia direction. The first section of the Way of Love, from Riomaggiore to Manarola is perfectly walks, an asphalt path under the rock, already crowded to capacity at 10 am. We proceed along the path that sometimes climbs, at times down to the sea, including landscapes, but when the train runs almost always in the tunnel. We arrived in Corniglia and Vernazza to discover that the section has just been reopened after a landslide. Being able to go to Monterosso is impossible, due to the lack of time for both the uncertainty of the total of the path. So just continue to Vernazza, where we arrive at lunch time. The return we do it by boat to Porto Venere. Pleasant to see the coast from the sea, the vines planted on terraces, the houses that appear in the middle of nowhere, the rocks that change color. A nice experience, to recommend a break longer than one day.
We stayed in Marina di Pietrasanta, Hotel Ocean, on the waterfront.
