Sardinia ... 1997 ... I, Robert and Roberta ... full January, perfect time to Sardinia ... uncrowded ocean without heat atrocious. Calm and quiet. We come from Civitavecchia to Olbia with the ship and immediately depart to the south after a raid visited in Arbatax Nuoro we come finally to where to mount the tents. So many things to see: Domus de Janas, Tombs of the Giants, so some Nuraghe and beautiful sea. The only daily train that would take us in Oristano we plan to strike at home of Lanusei Mameli, a charming town halfway. Take the bus and let us carry on Villagrande Flumendosa, bucolic place where we stayed until the strike ends to resume the journey west. Nothing to do we have to hitch-hike in the afternoon and let us bring Isili where finally we can sleep in a soft bed. In the days following the final point towards Oristano but since that time is now just decide to go straight in Alghero, a beautiful town on the North Sea west of the island reminiscent Catalan. Here we encounter the festival of the sea urchin ... What about after the first hedgehog I would not eat anything ... On the way back to Olbia Sassari I stop waiting for the train to the East Coast. In the evening we re-embark and return home.
