A trip to Bomarzo near Viterbo proved to be a discovery of a place unknown to me before. Charming village perched on the Cimini mountains overlooking the Tiber Valley.
Medieval fortress with the beautiful Palazzo Orsini and its wonderful fortified walls make the atmosphere very suggestive. We enjoy a visit to the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, where are the remains of S. Anselm, Bishop and Patron of the town.
