Monday. October, 22

Piazza Armerina - La Villa del Casale
Unfortunately, the whole house is being restored, the artificial coverings of the structure distorts the real, and you lose track of things, however, the mosaics are all clearly visible, even if sometimes are coated by restorers and their instruments of work left here and there a bit 'so messy. There is a beautiful rest area where you can also spend the night, personally, especially in low season, does not seem the ideal place.
In the afternoon we head towards Syracuse and in the area of the airport of Catania beak a nice time there
We arrived in Syracuse that is almost night, we stopped in 'area equipped Von Platen - the well reported both locally and from Portolano-15 euros a day well spent: the ideal base for visiting Syracuse and Noto.

Tuesday. October, 23

beautiful spring day
The Regional Archaeological Museum, about 200 meters from the parking, it involves the whole morning.
The area of Nea-polis, plus or minus 4 \ 500 from the parking is the real jewel of Syracuse: the quarries - the ear of Dionysus - the Rope Makers Cave, the gloomy greek, the altar of Hiero II, the amphitheater Roman and near the tomb of Archimedes, a sunny afternoon in historic heritage and architecture of indescribable value. And 'almost dark when we decide to go back to the camper,
in the rest area down to find a bakery with a capital P, prepares us for canola Sicilian end of the world and a tasting of almond paste with excellent handicraft production,'ll return to the diet. The Basilica of Our Lady of Tears is still open, a moment of reflection and thanksgiving is what we need after this wonderful day.
