The town of Dolo on the Brenta river, halfway between Padua and Venice. Veneto, Italy
Località: DoloRegione: Veneto Stato: ITALY (IT)
Dolo, town in the Riviera del Brenta, halfway between Padua and Venice, crossed the river lined with ancient Venetian villas. Old town full of picturesque landscapes, famous for its beautiful restored mills and for the "boatyard", an ancient site where they repaired the boats. Dolo not know exactly what its name, perhaps the family Dauli, perhaps the idea that here were concentrated in the '400 sentenced to confinement. The town offers visitors as well as famous seafood restaurants, the opportunity to visit many houses of great value and many other events such as the Review of Madonnari, the festival of the Villas, the Carnival of the Storti.
