The Vittoriale
During thermal treatments in Sirmione, I visited several spots on Lake Garda, such Gardone Riviera and its Vittoriale, entrance ticket € 11.00 seniors, includes the complete guided tour, unfortunately we can not in photograph.
As I parked the camper in the first parking lot, I have not trusted to go over and I continued walking, then I saw that shortly before the car park there is another, much more 'broad and pay therefore monitored .
Vittoriale was the home of the poet Gabriele D'Annunzio who, before his death, gave to the Italian people. His plan is to be the architect Giancarlo Maroni, the work involved in converting the house originally began in 1921 and lasted beyond the death of the poet. In 1925 it was declared a national monument.
The airplane flight Vienna Occupa on a vast land of nine acres is located in a complex of buildings, squares, boulevards and fountains, including the home of the poet known as the Priory, the War Museum, the Mausoleum, which made the MAS Beffa of the Buccari the vessel by the Navy donatagli Apulia Italian and nestling on the hillside, an auditorium where there is the airplane with which the writer made the famous flight to Vienna.
