We had planned to visit the 5 lands for a long time, like 1000 other things that do not yet know of our great country and what we choose to slice it was the fact that we can not find better prices for train tickets: Rome € 19 - La Spezia each way per person.
So once you arrive in La Spezia, exactly on time and in just 4 hours, we immediately direct the office of the Park of 5 Terre to buy a ticket 2 days, allowing you to take all the trains in the country to Levanto, to visit some small museum and includes the tolls for the Way of love and the paths for a fee. Then, we took our beautiful train, and in 8 minutes we reached Riomaggiore, the first country of the 5 lands and when we had our accommodation.
Arrived, the owner of the apartment waiting for us in the square outside the station, and together we "climb" up the country back home. From the balcony, enjoying breathtaking views, across the country, built practically in a small fjord leading down to the sea.
In our opinion, three countries in particular are beautiful to the point that it is difficult to choose which is the most beautiful: Riomaggiore, Manarola and Vernazza.I tourists were numerous, despite the season and despite the Sunday, as expected, the weather was terrible; In particular, it seems that foreigners from all over the world are the biggest fans of this park.
The wonderful thing was that, left the main street of every town, you find yourself immersed in silence and solitude we have tackled every alley, alleys and stairways within countries as possible and then we did about 10 km of trails coming in and reaching santuari.Ogni village has its own sanctuary, and we have reached that of Our Lady of Soviore (Monterosso) and that of Our Lady of Reggio (Vernazza), walking and climbing trails to discreetly marked crossing Mediterranean, vineyards, olive groves and pine, oak and cypress trees and monuments, enjoying breathtaking views!
You eat well without spending too much and is full of pizzerias, but, gentlemen, get ready, because all beauty is absolutely hard won through many hills and stairs leading through this yet another jewel of our country!
