If you want to experience the thrill of running through the city with his nose in the air and do it in three days, try to follow our itinerary.
If you are a camper, caravan or tent, you can stop in the Happy Camp area Justine, a nice camp, not very big, comfortable, good facilities and a restaurant (try the pizza is very good) with free shuttle service to the first metro city The Giustiniana that takes you to Flaminio.

If you are traveling by car or train, we were back at the hotel Cicero Castel S'Angelo ° ° and therefore convenient for close to the center (but the truth dear to our family budget).

° to see °° not to loose ^ not important ^^ to avoid

Starting from Piazza del Popolo °, where is the church of Santa Maria del Popolo °, to visit, also noted the Flaminio Obelisk ° and take on the Via del Corso (if you want you can turn right on Via della Frezza for 'Ara Pacis, until you get to Via Condotti, the shopping street and shopping chic (if you want to drink a cup of coffee we suggest the historic Greek Cafe) will arrive in Spain · square feet ° to the Trinita dei Monti °.
After drinking the excellent water fountain (the water of Rome is all drinkable and good), go up the staircase and enjoy the view.

Take a right on Via Sistina until you get to Piazza Barberini, where is the Triton Fountain °. From here, turn towards Via 4 Fontane's up to the homonymous square degrees. Turn right towards the Palazzo del Quirinale ° ° walk around to get ahead.
You are 2 steps from the beautiful Trevi Fountain ° °. After a cooling stop, turn left towards Via de Crociferi, we enter and go out in Galleria Alberto Sordi in Piazza Colonna ° ° where there is Palazzo Chigi, passed by the Chamber of Deputies in the direction of Piazza della Rotonda one of the most beautiful squares of Rome where there is the magnificent Pantheon ° °. To the west about 200 meters through the Palazzo Madama (seat of the Senate) move to the Piazza Navona ° ° in which to observe the beautiful Fountain of the Four Rivers ° ° of Bernini and the church of S. Agnese in Agony °.
We head north to take away the square of the Coronary where there is a famous ice cream for refreshments. We're going to Castel S'Angelo ° ° and we visit the castle and prisons (5 € each., Students free) (where you threw the famous Puccini's Tosca), then climb up to the terrace dominated by an angel and from which you see the passageway that connects the castle to St. Peter.

Finally, we deserve a 'good meal Sor'Eva ° (square of 108 Oak tel. 06/6875797 typical Roman restaurant ... croquettes appetizer, bucatini all'amatriciana, rags with arugula, artichokes and chicory Sauteed with chili, the castles of good wine cost 30 euro each).
For now my feet hurt but we trained for tomorrow and then to bed.

Let's start with Corso Vittorio Emanuele to head in the Campo dè' Fiori · ° where there is the famous market.
With the aim to arrive at the Circo Massimo and then to the Colosseum and Forum, we walked through the street of the Ghetto Giubbonari ° In via del Portico d'Ottavia ° and the Synagogue, the Teatro di Marcello and a detour all 'Isola Tiberina ° to go to Trastevere °. We stop in Piazza Belli ° (if you have time and you are not already tired, is certainly worth a visit to the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere ° and its beautiful square), we return because of Lungaretta, cross the Ponte Palatino and we are therefore Forum Boario ° ° and we enjoy the beautiful view. Not dwell here only for the famous Bocca della Verita but especially for the early Christian Basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin ° ° with beautiful mosaics inside.
Behind us is the Circus Maximus ° cross, along the left up to the Palatine hill, passing under the 'Arch of Constantine ° °, the Colosseum ° °.
If you're hungry, go up the stairs of the subway in Largo Agnesi corner and find a restau-bar with a bathroom, pretty inexpensive and a variety of dishes from sandwiches to pizza and salads.
Here, even if there are to visit the Forum, we opt to come back later to go to St. Peter in Chains ° where there is the beautiful Michelangelo's Moses and then passing down Via Cavour to the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore in Esquilino ° ° that certainly deserves. Returning to Via Cavour (here we would also be the meter that would bring us back to the Coliseum, the feet start to hurt ... but we go on foot!) To finally visit the Markets of Trajan ° °, ° ° and the Trajan column Fori Imperiali ° °, then the Capitol ° ° with the beautiful square designed by Michelangelo, go down the stairs and pass by the Victorian degrees.

For today may just return to 'hotel and we go to eat at the restaurant near the Master, via dei Gracchi segnalatoci from a friend (Spaghetti alla carbonara, lamb, and chicory Vaccinara Code to € 32 each. Good quality but a bit' expensive, by Sor'Eva is mejo ...). We report rather than another place in the Restaurant and Renato Luisa Via dei Barbieri 25 (H) near Campo de 'Fiori, bbello if magna bbeve bbene, air, if cheaply.

DAY 3
This morning we go to finish with a flourish at the Vatican, we prefer to get there by metro station closest to the entry of Cyprus ° ° which is the Vatican Museums on Viale Vaticano.
We are lucky there is little tail (which is usually mileage) and the time is right (9.30 to 10). There are no words to describe the beauty and richness of these places, the only thing to do is to go there.
After a couple of hours before we go out and go around to go to St. Peter's Square we pass by Candia more or less at No.20, where there is a bakery ° which is great to refresh with a few euro (pizza stuffed with mortadella).
Now we go to Piazza S. Peter ° °, ° ° and Basilica Dome if you want, but you pay dearly, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view, (beware of overweight or claustrophobic because the steps are very close!).
But there is still mid-afternoon and we decided to finish the tour with a final beautiful church, the Basilica of St. John Lateran ° ° Ex papal see and be seen, if you can also visit the cloister ° ° which is very nice.

Our trip is over, we figured he had done in 3 days about thirty miles to walk! A very good exercise ... It 's obvious that there are many places to visit, not only churches as we have done but it is undeniable that are part of history and wealth of this city because they are all very well preserved. Next time we may focus more on archaeological sites and nightlife.

We started with our friends, as it happens with a child of our own age, in our campers and their hotel, so you submit the price comparison:

Total cost of holiday for a family of 3 persons (2 adults + child 16 years):
- Hotel: 146 euro per night, breakfast included Triple € 252.00
- Food, museums and souvenir € 300.00
- fuel, park, highway € 180.00
Total 3 days: € 732.00

- camping € 91.00
- Food, museums and souvenir € 300.00
- fuel, highway € 150.00
Total 3 days: € 541.00
