Traveling across the beautiful region of Puglia. Trip to southeastern Italy
I was the first time in Puglia with my Fiat Tipo following a humanitarian convoy to take the ship to Brindisi to Durres in Albania. The next time I passed through this region always in my car to return to Brindisi, this time to make the port the ship for Patras in Greece. On that occasion, I passed out on the highway and stopped in Giovinazzo Molfetta, distinctive center houses clear, where I visited a friend. I went on to Bari where we visit the Old Town and the St. Nicholas Cathedral before continuing to the south with short pauses to observe the white cube-shaped houses of Polignano a Mare and Ostuni. Thus comes to the port of Brindisi for boats. On return from Greece goes back to Alberobello to visit its famous trulli, features homes dall'irto circular stone roof. Further north, in Andria, deviavo inland for a visit to the Castel del Monte, whose portrait built a few years later would have ended on the 1 euro cent coins. From the outside this fortress, commissioned by Frederick II of Swabia, is very beautiful, set on a wooded hill, the interior instead is rather bare.
