Since my Province bordering on that of Pistoia I had the opportunity to come here many times and not only for the purpose of tourism. More than just a route give below a series of impressions on the places visited.
The capital Pistoia presents the beautiful Piazza del Duomo overlooked by the buildings that have made and continue to make history in the city: the Duomo, the Baptistry, the Palaces Pretorio and the City. A few meters away the civil power and the religious one in front of others with their most emblematic buildings. The Cathedral has a bright facade with porch and is flanked by an elegant bell tower. The interior houses among others the altar silver of San Jacopo. The Baptistery octagonal incorporates into the theme of the façade of the Cathedral and it is an ancient baptismal font. In addition to this square, the old town has many other churches including St Andrew's with a beautiful pulpit by Giovanni Pisano and San Giovanni outside Civitas with an old polyptych. Outside the Old Town Zoo Pistoia is the most important part of Tuscany and offers an opportunity to spend a day discovering the many species of animals. In the Province, on the road to Lucca, we encounter two spas which Monsummano and Montecatini. In particular, the city has beautiful buildings spa-style neoclassical how Leopoldine, Queen or the roof. Qust'ultime particularly presantano a splendid chamber-column white. The spa is dominated by Montecatini Alto where the Cave Maona visited but very small. Continuing to Lucca you reach Pescia where to report the Cathedral and the Church of San Francesco and, in this City, the village of Collodi country of Carlo Lorenzini, author of Pinocchio. Collodi is very special, the houses seem piled one above the other to form a waterfall descending down a hill. The country is home to the Park of Pinocchio where they played some scenes from the life of the puppet through interpretations of art and Villa Garzoni with a beautiful park in green, mazes and waterfalls artificial. South of Pistoia country Lamporecchio is famous for brigidini, sweet waffles crisp flour and egg well known throughout Tuscany and beyond. On the way from the Val di Lima in the Province of Lucca brings all'Abetone meet the mountain village of Popiglio (City of Piteglio) with a lovely church medieval Cutigliano with a small Palazzo Pretorio whose façade is decorated by numerous coats of arms and Pianosinatico. Note that immediately after Popiglio is a long and narrow bridge suspended pedestrian connecting the road with the country of Mammiano Low in the municipality of San Marcello Pistoiese, is one of the largest of its kind in the world. The location of winter sports dell'Abetone is preceded by Le Regine, a small ski resort from which a cable car to the track of Harness. The Abetone is the main destination for skiers from Tuscany and attracts fans of winter sports from much of central Italy. Many activities are receptive and the lifts. Cable cars, chairlifts and cable cars leading to shelters mountain from which we descended down through the famous piste snow as the Zeno Colò dedicated to the famous champion was born here. The lifts serve some camps very active. The village is situated on the homonymous pass that separates Tuscany dall'Emilia and that we must cross to enter the village of Val di Luce, a hamlet dell'Abetone reachable only via Emilia with a long track and ski lifts.
