Tivoli is a few km from Rome. By train, from Rome Tiburtina station is reachable in about an hour.
Villa d'Este, senzadubbio the most famous of his houses is located near the city center, while the entrance of the Villa Gregoriana is located near the station fs
Villa Adriana is located some kilometers away from Tivoli, which is also easy to reach both by its own means and with the local bus.
One day should be enough to thoroughly visit all three houses and to get a ride to town.
