I was twice in Altamura to find a dear friend.
The first time, in August, I made ??the trip (night) by bus leaving from Florence and was hosted by my friend, but the second time I moved by train and I slept in the hotel. In both cases it was a pretty exhausting trip, I think is the best alternative to travel by car! Among other things, the Altamura-Bari is not handled by the railways of the State.

I had never been in southern Italy and was amazed by the color of the sky, as it is very different from where I live. Altamura I did not do tours, but on the other hand, taking advantage of the hospitality offered to me, I could taste the delicious food! To be missed are the bread, flat bread, dairy products ... there are several small markets to buy fruit and vegetables.
A negative aspect of the country are on the streets: they are rough and often there is no signs, virtually on the street who threw the first pass through the first! Even the pedestrian crossing are almost non-existent ...

One day I was also in Matera: caretteristiche is a place even if the organization leaves something to be desired, there are cars parked everywhere!
