This was a great time to take 3 days off attached to the various festivities that have allowed me to have 10 days of absolute freedom!
On April 25, Olga has arrived back in Italy and after spending a couple of days in my little town on Sunday 27 you and I we went by car to the land of tulips.
From Italy via the Internet had booked a hotel in Cologne by the parties for the night of 27 and a "Bed & Breakfast" for 3 nights in Amsterdam since the days of late April in Holland and especially in its capital city is celebrated Queen's Day and so renowned and very difficult to find a bed to sleep.
The trip across the whole of Switzerland and the whole of Germany was perhaps a bit 'longer than expected because we made several stops along the route.
Arrived in Amsterdam at around 12.00 on Monday 28 we placed the B & B ASTRID practically a suburban apartment run by a painter.
From here it was still convenient to reach the city center since this house was located 10 minutes dall'Amsterdam Arena with its homonymous metro stop.
2 days devoted to visiting the city on the evening of April 30 but above 29 we are immersed in the beautiful Konininnendag (the feast of the queen), where a huge orange tide is spreading like wildfire through the streets, lanes and alleys (some even channels ...). What a party! Can not find a place without being overwhelmed by happiness, by the spray of beer and sometimes some smoke trail (you can imagine). So between a beer and the other on the streets, and countless concerts, the festival goes on until late at night.
On the morning of May wake up early after welcoming our friend the painter we headed toward the east of Holland ... the beautiful land of tulips! Indescribable in words! The photos speak for themselves.
Let the immense crops of tulips we headed to Belgium in Leuven, where I waited for my friend Seppe.
Put us up in his new apartment situated at 2 steps from the center from where it was convenient to reach Brussels by train to visit the Belgian capital to Olga.
2 days were also characterized the tasting of beer ... after all, Belgium is famed for the good "hop juice".
On the way back to Italy we made several stops in both German soil in the ground Switzerland spent a night at the hotel Hof Hotel Lothringer the "famous" Saarlouis ..
