What to do to spend a weekend alternative? Simple: jump on a plane and fly Ryanair to Eindhoven in the south of 'Holland.
It starts September 23, Saturday morning at 10:20 exactly Orio before noon and arrive in Eindhoven, in perfect ... in advance!
In order not to lose precious time 'arrival, as I shall stay only 24 hours, eat a couple of sandwiches brought from home on the' plane.
As usual travel with only hand luggage (socks, pants, shirt and toothbrush, what else is it for?), Which allows me to gain additional time to 'arrival (by the way: no special restrictions of security in hand luggage for 'The Netherlands).
A few meters on foot to cross the small airport and are already on the road.
Before leaving, I thoroughly documented on the Internet: transportation, sightseeing attractions, maps, etc.. so I knew he was leaving at 12 l '401 buses that would take me 20 minutes to the train station and the ticket would have cost 3:20 euros and that I should buy it with money matters to the machine on board.
L 'bus is nothing short of futuristic and straight out of an episode of Thunderbirds.
Although the city is very modern new buildings of glass and steel and even a skyscraper that looks like the modern reproduction of the Flatiron Building in New York.
The first thing I want to see is the museum with a tour of the old Philips factory bulbs (it only comes with driving at 13 or 14). All 'arrival, he discovers that the explanation is only in Dutch so I would not understand anything, then opt for the' museum, the lights: 4 euros spent well.
I walk through the downtown pedestrian zone and catch up with mega l 'hotel I had booked from the' Italy, l 'hotel Hampshire Inn, central and very close to the strange building in the Van Abbe Museum. Paid on Octopusstravel 59 euros including breakfast, up from 110 of list price.
I leave the backpack at the hotel and my adventures with camera and camera to explore the city.
Little advice for those who do not have much travel experience: avoid bags or pouches, which are well placed to be scrubbed off, and use instead the sleeveless jackets fishing with lots of pockets.
It 'very helpful to print the maps before departure. In any case the airport is also available a free guide (in Italian) on the town with much of the map.
The next step is the 'Euro Garden, which seems to be the best cofee shop in Eindhoven. I tell you what: If you go to a smoke is Holland 's obligation, because it is perfectly legal.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and really affordable prices.
After the stop at 'Euro Garden reach (with some difficulty moving ...) The museum DAF.

That is really interesting, like the Museo dell 'car in Turin, where you can see cars and DAF trucks, military vehicles, fire engines, etc.. For me not to lose.
Now is the time to explore the city center, with a huge pedestrian zone filled with shops of all kinds, shopping malls, department stores: a paradise for shoppers. Eye, however, that the shops close at 17 and the center is empty.
One of the most striking are the bicycles and thousands ovunqe, and almost all the roads have their beautiful bike path.
But clearly the thing that strikes most of all are the Dutch girls. Just as if one can expect: beautiful, blond, blue eyes ...
In the center are concentrated in a 'multitude of bars, pubs, restaurants of all kinds, coffee, which resemble those of Paris. By the way, there 's an area that seems to be the Marais.
I go to dinner at an Indian restaurant where there's probably the prettiest waitress in the city. After dinner, I follow the flow of people and I find myself in a cinema where I watch Pirates of the Caribbean in English with subtitles in Dutch.
The nightlife is incredible, a 'multitude of people on the street, so that after midnight it was even difficult to walk, loud music that comes from local rivers alcohol, marijuana, people who vomits, scantily clad girls and nothing machines! Fantastic short.
Verso l 'a I go to sleep and the next morning I do a final walk around the deserted city. Last cane, and then head to the spaceship to the Thunderbirds' airport, from where it starts punctual to Bergamo at 12.30.
Further cool: now with Ryanair you can check in on the Internet. In practice, I have printed your boarding pass at home and once at the airport I went straight to security control in jumping the queue at Chek. Furthermore, with this system, they make you take on board before the others. Nice, eh?
A nice weekend, different from usual, I recommend to everyone.
