We have a few days' leave and so at the last minute we decide to go to AMSTERDAM. Book all over the internet with last minute and spend € 330 a head including flight + hotel for 5 days. We start from the 04/12/08 Linate with KLM and arrive at AMSTERDAM Schiphol, which remains outside the city. Take a train that takes us downtown in 20 minutes at a cost of € 6.40 return. Strippenkaart to buy a bus for 15 races (€ 6.90) more than enough, the center turns quietly to piedi.Ad AMSTERDAM snowing .... But just this afternoon, luckily, the rest of the days will be beautiful. We arrive at the Rembrandt Centrum, which is centrally located and which is strongly to all, clean and spacious rooms at a price more than content. We support your luggage and are ready x 1 lap in Dutch soil. We sling immediately as recommended by our friend "Lonely Planet" to eat a slice of cake from Villa Zeezicht apple and cinnamon really really delicious! Satolli then exited from the bar we go to 1 in shopping malls and the Magna Plaza De Bijenkorf where you can find it in the big names. Will then continue through the streets Damrak, and Euwendijk Kaverstraat.Il 05/12/08 visit Dam Square, the heart of AMSTERDAM and then we head into the red light district where there are the famous women in the window and it is so ... .. is crazy! Then we visit the second largest city, Nieuwmarkt Jordan and the district that is famous for the many bridges and picturesque streets to the walls with ivy. In this quarter is the museum of the house of Anne Frank. Do not resist and go out of curiosity. I was fascinated by this museum where you can see the secret home of Anne Frank in which you enter through a revolving bookcase wall. The house has no windows here and the Frank family spent their days in absolute silence. "We always have so much fear that the neighbors will hear us or see" Anne Frank 11/07/42.E 'really moving to see how they were forced to live, I hit the room with Anna where we are still stuck on the wall of pictures for make the room more welcoming. The house has no furniture because the Germans have emptied and the father of Anna's return from concentration camp decided that was to remain empty for sempre.Furono betrayed and deported to Auschwitz where they died all but the father of Anna. Anne died of typhus a few months before the release ... ... Council to visit all of the museo.Proseguiamo our tour and arrived at the church Vesterkerk that stands out for the bell tower at the top of which is supported a blue crown. We pass in front of the Rembrandt House, at number 184 of the way ... I can not remember where he died. Finally, dinner at the restaurant De Zagerij with meat fondue formaggio.Il 06/12/08 visit the old bridge and the flower market (Bldemenmarket) where to buy tulip bulbs. The market is very beautiful and colorful flowers and more than you can buy souvenirs at good prices. Then we look at the wooden church Begijnhof ... is accessed by opening a door from the street and entering into another district where there are houses and gardens tended green ... that strange place! Another tower is to be seen to Muntoren. For the evening we decide to do the romantic dinner and a book on the boat (Candlelight) to € 27.50. Very beautiful, the illuminated canals of AMSTERDAM are wonderful. On 07/12 I decide that I must absolutely see the windmills, if not what I came to do in Holland? I document and discover that there is a small town called Zaanse Schans reachable by train in about 15 minutes (€ 5.10 return). Let it go. E 'was the best day ever, is a land of fairy tales. All houses are of green wood, built around a small channel on which they built pretty jumper course as green houses and wood. There are 6 windmills still in operation that produce color, flour, oil, etc.. You can go inside and is a unique experience wandering among their old gear. In the village there is the factory of hooves and a dairy where cheeses are selling very good. Return to the city and end the day by another po 'di shopping.Ceniamo by Moeders, famous restaurant in AMSTERDAM where we eat and is typically characterized by the fact that when it opened the owners asking customers to bring home old dishes, cutlery and photos of their mothers (Moeders just want to tell mothers) and in fact is apparecchiato with cozzaglie of every kind and hung on the walls are hundreds of photos of mothers, we ate very bene.08/12/08 it again for Italy. What struck me in AMSTERDAM are the beautiful homes that rise above the canals, bridges and city bikes that seem to decorate AMSTERDAM. The buoyancy and tolerance for red-light districts and coffe shoop in a city so different from ours but that is only 2 hours by plane. Hello AMSTERDAM. Annalisa.
