Second trip to Holland, the airline Virgin Express and the same hotel in Amsterdam, located on Damrak Damhotel 31 a few steps from the central station.
Gia 'from back home the last time I was told that there would be returned to this beautiful region, and here I am ready to discover new places, knowing gia' Amsterdam, everything was easier, but this time I wanted to also see some city 'being Fuoriporta Left fascinated by those seen previously.
After arrival and accommodation are already 'the 16.00 so it' too late to turn away, and 'Cloudy but not cold, I decide to review the huge Dam Square, at the end of Damrak, the streets that converge there are already 'illuminated by the lights of Christmas, although we are not in summer and' very crowded along the Nieuwendijk at 18.00 shops begin to close, after having bought something for dinner back at hotel.
The second day at 8.00 I am presenting to Damhotel restaurant for breakfast, as always are the first, the Dutch do not wake up very soon ... and travel to the station, destination UTRECHT about 40 km south of Amsterdam, Tickets cost € 11.30 A / R, many Dutch trains are double deck, very clean, quiet and with a punctuality 'splitting the minutes ! Everything works perfectly, all the stations did not use the binary number system to divide them into more 'on all routes where a train stops, for example, the platform 1 will be' divided into 1A, 1B, 1C and stop with three trains different destinations, so do not just find their own track, but you walk up to his letter. This implies to have stations close, but very long.
In a little more 'than half an hour at Utrecht, without leaving the station I am in a shopping center, very nice, but I decide to visit before the big stores Hoog Catharijne of which I had heard a few block walk and here' s entrance, beautiful shops, around the corridors for an hour but I am speechless when I ritovo station! E 'a single huge .... Then find another entrance from another part of town'....
Then visit the Centraal Museum is not large but very beautiful, the Oude Gracht bell tower of the cathedral, walk through the streets of the center to look at the typical small shops.
DELFT third day the small town known for porcelain ceramic blue, bordering on the AIA at about 60 km west of Amsterdam, Tickets cost € 18.90 A / R, in the morning and all 'hidden by a mist autumn, only around noon I take some pictures, classic Dutch town, small streets and many bridges, concentrated around a large central square with the Town Hall and the Nieuwe Kerk with a high bell tower, it seems there is a race to have the bell piu 'alto.
On the sides of the square's' spoiled for choice with bars, restaurants, all furnished in a beautiful and typical Dutch, souvenir shops, items in blue ceramic both tourism and value. Even in the streets around endless shops of all kinds of sights are the destination 'for tourists. At lunch sitting on a bench along a canal two beautiful white swans keep me company, especially to my sandwich ....
On the way back in the distance I see the AIA, and LEIDEN HAARLEM with its future fields of tulips.
Fourth day at the shopping ALBERT MARKET CUYPMARKT to Amsterdam to buy some gifts, these items are even with the discount of 30% compared to shops in the center, if you have the chance 'to turn somewhat' certainly saves.
In the afternoon stroll along the canals Prinsengracht, Herengracht, Keizersgracht, Rozengracht and Rembrandtplein squares, Spui, Leidseplein, Muntplein I reviewed with pleasure always discovering hidden corners.
Fifth day, not being able to visit it last time to eccomi MUSEUM VAN LOON, ingresso € 5, home of the family Van Loon, the first floor dining room with table with the china of the 1800s, alongside the red drawing room ( each room has walls of a different color), the smoking lounge and garden room, overlooking the beautiful garden outside the kitchen in the basement of white and colored blue, a beautiful staircase leading to first floor where there are the painted room, the sheep room, the master bedroom, the bird room.
Very nice too see Amsterdam at night, many buildings and bridges are illuminated in various colors, of course during the summer season e'ancora piu 'bella.
I still admire the huge fields of tulips, are scheduled for next year, maybe adding some other village that are the real Holland to see.
