Trip to Amsterdam, capital city of Netherlands and a tour of the whole country

This summer we go to visit Amsterdam.
We left by campers from Padua making stops at Fussen in Bavaria and Koblenz.

August 10
This morning we decided to get downtown by bike, are 40 minutes and about 12 km we lose a bit 'but we do, the slopes are wide and comfortable and also through the popular and multiethnic Diemen, so maybe they were our clean and equipped with every block there is a sports center. August 13

Then we go to the Albert Cuyp market with good prices where we buy the classic T-shirt with the emblem of Amsterdam as our custom, the price of 9 euros each, we eat bread and herring and chips with salsa giants choice.

August 14
Cloudy with light rain, we enclose ourselves in the 'interesting Tropenmuseum ° Museum of the tropics. We left the museum that the weather is settled and then we go to Rembrandtplein is beautiful and lively square that comes alive at night especially given the presence in the area of some trendy. Then turn the whole city by bike and complete the gaps of our tour, passing all the channels and seeing many picturesque views of the city.

 

Zuidersee

MONNICKENDAM, Edam, Volendam, Marken

15 Agosto
Oggi ci spostiamo di una ventina di km a nord in direzione Zuidersee°° che è il mare interno delimitato dalla famosa diga, per visitare alcune città affacciate sul lago. Scegliamo di fare base ad Uitdam dove troviamo un buon campeggio, Uitdam Camping Jachthaven°(25.50 euro per una notte, 3 persone + elettricità).
Sistemato il camper usciamo ed imbocchiamo verso nord la pista ciclabile che costeggia il lago. C'è un forte e freddo vento che ci rallenta l'andatura ma siamo felici perchè il posto è bello e bucolico, con numerosi cigni che si bagnano, mucche, cavalli e lanose pecore che pascolano liberi, vecchi mulini all'orizzonte e le caratteristiche abitazioni olandesi. Passiamo per Monnickendam° tranquillo villaggio di pescatori e ci dirigiamo ad Edam° dove c'è la sagra del famoso formaggio con venditori in costume tipico, del quale ne acquistiamo un paio di forme. E' un formaggio un po' grasso e tutto sommato non così buono come i nostri formaggi italiani. Qui facciamo un buono spuntino di pesce patate e birra e dopo una bella passeggiata tra le viuzze ci dirigiamo a Volendam° molto vivace. Prendiamo il traghetto con le nostre bici per Marken°° caratteristico villaggio di pescatori dove gustiamo un buon te caldo. Alla fine prima di ritornare al camper abbiamo pedalato per 14 km sotto sole e vento che alternativamente ci spingeva o frenava la nostra andatura.

ENKHUIZEN
16 Agosto
Direzione Enkhuizen sullo Zuidersee a 50 km di distanza, c'è un museo all'aperto Zuidersee Museum° che rappresenta la vita olandese dalle origini, (costo 39.50 euro). Caratteristico, si parcheggia in terraferma e si arriva in battello, ci sono fattorie e figuranti e ricostruzioni delle attività e vita sociale del posto, con mulini, fattorie, botteghe...per pranzo consigliamo panino con aringa, che viene affumicata sul posto.
Nel pomeriggio ci dirigiamo verso la grande diga che in effetti non è niente di speciale tranne la soddisfazione di esserci passati, quindi facciamo marcia indietro perchè l'indomani vogliamo visitare Delft°.

NOORDWIJK
Facciamo sosta a metà strada a Noordwijk,° distante da Enkuizen circa 100 km, località balneare sul affacciata sul Mare del Nord, troviamo posto al Camping Le Parage (22,00 euro), accogliente e pulito.

17 Agosto
La mattina facciamo un passeggiata a piedi perchè vogliamo mettere i piedi sul mare del nord. La passeggiata in mezzo le dune è piacevole, la pineta che separa il paese dalla spiaggia è fitta ma tira un bel e freddo vento. Dopo un paio di km giungiamo alla spiaggia deserta per il freddo e frequentata soprattutto da cavalli, con un atto di coraggio mettiamo i piedi a mare e l'acqua è freddissima!

Delft
Finalmente poco prima di mezzodì dopo una quarantina di km, arriviamo a Delft°, parcheggiamo in un area il più vicino possibile al centro ed infatti risulterà perfetta. Ci incamminiamo e poco prima della piazza pirincipale troviamo un chiosco del pesce che è ottimo per rifocillarci: prendiamo un po' di assaggi vari, soprattutto di pesce, così siamo pronti e sazi per visitare la città. Delft° è famosa e ve ne accorgerete oltre che per il romanzo e film "la ragazza dall'orecchino di perla" tela eseguita da Vermeer, anche per le porcellane molto belle ma molto costose. La piazza Markt°° è molto bella con il campanile a 3 colori della Nieuwe Kerk, il municipio di fronte ed al centro il sestante. Per chi volesse acquistare porcellane consigliamo De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles che è più conveniente di altri luoghi in quanto è una delle fabbriche che le produce.

18 Agosto
Il nostro soggiorno in Olanda termina ma per spezzare il viaggio facciamo tappa a Strasburgo.

Visitare l'Olanda è stato bello e facile, perchè i servizi sono ottimi, i luoghi son ben serviti e c'è un benessere, una organizzazione e pulizia notevoli e poi ci si sente sicuri e protetti. Amsterdam è una città multietnica e notoriamente tollerante e quindi è anche divertente notarne gli eccessi, mentre l'entroterra è molto più semplice, forse con panorama monotono e fatto di piccole cose ma comunque mai caotico.

NOTE:
Tempo: temperatura media sui 20 gradi con sole, è obbligatorio un impermeabile perchè il cielo è sempre nuvoloso e minaccia puntualmente pioggia che arriva praticamente ogni giorno dal tramonto per poi fortunatamente smettere dopo un paio d'ore

Cibo: i ristoranti sono piuttosto cari, ma è pieno di take away abbastanza economici e chioschi dove vendono panini con aringa molto nutrienti e sufficienti a placare l'appetito.

Lingua: dato che l'olandese è incomprensibile, almeno l'inglese è obbligatorio che qui è parlato bene anche dai bimbi, comunque è una città multietnica e piena di italiani che qui troverete anche a gestire i locali.

N.B.: le autostrade in Germania ed Olanda sono gratuite!
