The month of August and an unusual choice, spend the summer last weekend in Amsterdam.

Only a few days and a last-minute reservation at a hotel directly on Dam Square. then discover it was, until a few years ago, a ... Theater! On second thought, the arrangement of rooms from the first day we had seemed rather strange ...
but unfounded .. the oddity in this town is really home, and because of this feature .. all dying with curiosity to see the much-renowned city of coffee shops, streets and of course sexy .. not forget the paintings of Van Gogh! :)

But Amsterdam, besides being for many the land of toys, is mostly a remarkably multi-ethnic city in which all possible breeds can not only coexist civilly, but also integrate to form one people. Here's the password .. tolerance! The greatest merit of the Dutch capital!

Not ashamed to belong to the minority that goes to Holland to see the pictures ... We dive in the discovery of the great masterpieces of the permanent exhibition of the famous Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh
Amsterdam must never tire of walking .. to discover ever new angles, even though the streets all look the same, we always find a different place. Forget the traffic and noise pollution and riempiamoci eyes bicycles, weeping willows descend to touch the water of the canals and dense maze of bridges.

Many city dwellers live in houseboats moored in the canals, and most of these houses have nothing to envy to their similar foundations! Even the luxury and comfort can characterize the floating homes .. some have even greenhouses, terraces or aviaries for exotic parrots! !

At night, the city changes its face again.
Almost no one walking the streets, the streets become deserted and populate the numerous coffee shops, as well as curious tourists (and not a little ridiculous) peering from the windows of the red light district.
Amsterdam is also this! A small town overrun by tourists thirsty for mass entertainment .. but also a historic town that has a strong personality .. which identity to choose between the two?
