The cruise on the fjords
Tale of the "journey piu 'bello del mondo"!

In late May-early June 2000 we made a wonderful journey that I'm glad to share friends. We visited three capitals of North Europe (Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen), but in particular, we have come across the Atlantic coasts of Scandinavia (from Bergen to Kirkenes and coming - the border Norway-Finland-Russia) on board the ship Postal connecting all the towns of this beautiful peninsula.

The journey started from a Sunday in late May and, after a day spent in the city-stage of departure of the vessel (Bergen) which we have appreciated the "characterization" of northern port city as well as post-medieval very lively, we have embarked on one of the ships that post daily play precisely the link for goods and passengers in the north of Norway.

The ship chosen was a generation and was really comfortable leads over 500 passengers and 6 days you spend on board are extremely gratifying. Not having experience with other types of "cruise" comparisons do not know, but, personally, we were very pleased with the location of the cabin (6th deck outside with a view of the ports to which berthed) and the general treatment of the edge, in particular not we felt out of place for our clothes "casual" while there (in the evening at the dinner served to the sailors) also many people with stylish clothes. Most of the cruise was to nationality 'American (with the value of the dollar, good strength!) On board but we also made friends with other Italians, piu' che altro young honeymoon.

The show is being offered during this trip is unique, both in fjords and in the various towns visited during the "stop" there are things of indescribable beauty and uniqueness.
Among these the most 'memorable was, for us, the night of the "midnight sun" rose to the north of the Arctic Circle during a move very much "suffering" from high mountains (still covered with snow) in a fjord piu' suggestive throughout the journey.
The only disappointment was painful visit to the North Cape, also because the day is particularly unfortunate (fog, snow, wind over 70 km / 'h). After addition, we have suffered a sharp pain in the sea in the case of removal of the vessel that, until then, however, had "bordeggiato" precisely repaired by fjords.

If we were to recommend to friends to repeat our trip advise them, so to book passage from Bergen (stage starting from the south) to Tromsoe (based, inter alia, an airport) avoiding in this way is that the North Cape " bath "in the ocean.
