Auschwitz: a trip not to forget
There were years we had this desire that was a bit like paying a debt with history. Already in 2002 when we did the honeymoon (in motion until Caponord, Norway) had thought to make a detour to Auschwitz on the way back, but then, with our on some ten thousand kilometers away, not do we feel to add more. But this time we have been resolved: we wanted to visit Auschwitz and Auschwitz had to be and we have not taken care of those who told us that it was not the case for many kilometers do not for fun but for intristirci ... if the man was capable of such barbarism, however, we wanted to see with our eyes.
Believed to be two quite prepared on the subject of the Holocaust having read many books and seen countless movies and documentaries, but none can claim to be so prepared to visit the Auschwitz death camp without the sad surprise of those who are faced with things imponderables: the emotions are strong and continuous, and for the duration of the visit six crushed by a lump in my throat and a sense of anger that when the issues unless you yourself is unleashed in an irrepressible tears. For the first time the millions of Jews (but also gypsies, homosexuals, political prisoners) are no longer a vague amalgam, but individuals with their own history, which is hidden behind a suitcase, a garment, a shoe or a tuft hair now faded.
