Autumn in Mazury.. Three days of October in the middle of Poland

I want to tell my 3 days in the beautiful fall season in Mazury. Recommended to anyone who wants to live life fully and These meet.

I was invited to Mragowo in Masuria, ie in the most beautiful in Poland. At first perhaps we should explain "why the Masurian?" In the fall and why? My son is getting married with a girl from there and I was invited to Poland to meet his family. Not knowing a word of Polish beginning I felt a little 'embarrassed but these three days I have improved my humour and my opinion. The family of Anna (the girl who is about to marry my son) I organized a full-time so I really can not say I was bored.

 

1st day

We landed in Warsaw, then we went by car to Mragowo. We stopped only once to eat at a restaurant that was on the streets. The first things that struck me is the lack of highways, but it must be said that the state of maintenance of roads in this region is very good. It's rare that even the car ride is a pleasant thing. I am referring to the beautiful scenery that we passed and we could see the car. After 3 hours we got to where we were waiting Mragowo Anna's parents and their dog, dinner was ready. I ate very well but I can not even say what I ate. I have repeated a thousand times, but the names of these dishes are too strange to be able to remember them. In the evening we went to visit to Olsztyn the historic center of this beautiful capital of the land, called "the land of a thousand lakes of Masuria". They told me that this region is composed of over 40 lakes and many Basques that hide the natural beauty, well actually they are indescribable places. But back to the subject of the evening in Olsztyn - we went to the Gothic cathedral of St. James, to hear the organ music. It was very funny - in general I like these activities. I'm not a person so young sports activities, which are characteristic for this area, I can not do. Everybody knew, so did the selection of the attractions that I could visit. I know that Nicholas Copernicus lived in this city that I think is very interesting because I come from Ferrara, where Copernicus has also left its traces. I wanted so much to go to the astronomical observatory quel'ora but unfortunately it was closed. Then we went back to where Mragowo with full glasses of wine we drank a toast to the happiness of our future spouses. We also discussed the details about the wedding.

2nd day

We woke up very early because he was planning a gathering mushrooms in the woods. Honestly, are not very expert in this field of Anna, but the whole family seemed to be very informed on the subject. I have learned to recognize two types of mushrooms .. both dark. One was a kind of mushroom, quite large and another, I do not know what it is but they called "Czarny lepek" (black head), this was a bit 'smaller than the mushroom. I was impressed by the great number of fungi that can be found in these woods. Clearly this area needs to be very healthy with the fresh air. After harvesting the mushrooms we went back to Anna's family home, where we began to prepare the roast with mushrooms, freshly picked. Of course, I mostly watched and watched, which was preparing, I screamed because I am a guest and I can not touch anything. But I mean I was pleased to see how we cook in Poland - looks like a very healthy food, based on ecological and natural food which is now a very rare thing. After lunch we tasted the sweets prepared Anna, was a kind of cake made ??with cheese cakes z - very good. They called it "sernik". After I wanted to go for a ride Mragowo but I was told that all the attractions of this town are summer, winter sports or a lot. For example there is a lift for all ski lovers, but I do not want nothing to do with these activities. I prefer to work a little 'quieter ... so we went by bike. The air was very fresh. We were shooting in the area of the lake by bike Sniadrwy. It is a beautiful area and around the lake are very romantic. The night I collapsed on the bed without even the strength to eat. All day in the fresh air, in the woods, made ??me fell asleep.

3rd day

The third day was very intensive. The same evening I had to leave to visit the area so I have given only half a day. I was a bit 'worried that I will kill off another round but luckily Anna and my son knew how. They invited me to the spa "Medical Warmia Park" near Pluski. The massages, facial and body treatments and eventually a bath in a large pool - it was exactly what I needed. I returned to Italy with very good and relaxed mood. Along the way to the airport I was telling Anna the region's rich history and attractions in the towns we passed. Surely there will come again and will visit more and I swear - and then I will tell you everything!
