Poland is the ideal place to spend an extended weekend and spend relatively little. With low cost flights Warsaw has become closer and more affordable, and from there you can move with ease and achieve other enchanting places if less popular of the classic tourist destinations in Europe.
We are a group of friends and having to optimize the limited time available, we plan a holiday flight, which provided continuous movement from one place to another.

FIRST DAY: Visit of Warsaw (the old town was reconstructed very well) you can find exceptional restaurants, to prove absolutely the towering layer cake. It 'nice to walk through the streets of the old city ... a little 'less nice to walk around the new city that is large and scattered.
With a modest expenditure, we rented a lovely apartment, super-equipped .. overlooking the beautiful avenues of the capital.

SECOND DAY: Departure to Gdansk (may be difficult to buy tickets unless you know Polish, you have to be the most direct and clear as possible), the train is a bit 'slow but the landscape observed is idyllic.

Gdansk can be visited in one day, even if it was not bad staying longer, and is very scenic, the sort of place that can not not like it! If you really want to find a flaw ... Perhaps the monotony of the shops that sell everywhere the same, namely, various trinkets with Baltic amber (which is beautiful ... but virtually anywhere!)

THIRD DAY: New in train to Malbork, a beautiful medieval castle dell'erdine Teutonic ..
The great stroke of luck that we had was being there, without knowing it, the day where there was a great medieval festival with lots of tournaments and tasting of typical food and craft markets ... a real spectacle!

Before tornarea Gdansk we stop in the seaside resort of Sopot.
The entrance to the famous pier is paid and not worth visiting in and of itself, but then, one can not help but follow the crowd of Polish tourists who consider it an attraction and a walk we do willingly.

LAST DAY: return flight to Warsaw and Rome. A little 'sorry for not being able to spend more days in a beautiful country that was a real surprise for all of us!
