Poland entered into with my Fiat Tipo from the border with Slovakia to Lysa Polana was the first stop in Zakopane resort of winter sports in the high Tatra. Everything is built for tourists, the carriages pulled by horses, banquets for souvenirs, the majestic mountains that surround it and a springboard for the famous ski jump. Continued in the High Tatras to see a typical church of wood and the bedrock of the Three Crowns later, after having stopped to eat a good trout in the gorges of the Dunajec, I stopped to sleep in a room rentals in Wieliczka. The next day with half a local Krakow, City soaked by wonderful memories with great historical monuments and legends. There are the Via Floriaska, a beautiful cathedral with two towers dissimilar, the Palace of Rynek with the arcades of the market, the Civic Tower, the university colleges, The Church of the Wawel Castle. There is also the Jewish quarter with the memory of the Shoah and the list of Oscar SHINDLER. I had just seen the film SHINDLER List and so have wanted to go even Zablocie Industrial District to see the factory of the protagonist. Return to Wieliczka to sleep and the day after his visit to the salt mines. To visit go down with an elevator and then go through narrow passages underpinned by beams. In the bowels of the earth miners over the centuries have carved bas-reliefs and sculptures of salt, have even built a large church with this material. Rose to the surface leave the Mining City for Nowa Huta, a modern suburb of Krakow, where there is a futuristic Church desired by Pope John Paul II was here when Archbishop. After a small incident which harms the side of my type in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska arrival to Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II, who keeps his family home, then in Oswiecim, where I sleep.
The next morning visit to the infamous Nazi extermination camps of Birkenau and Auswitz. It 'a sad feeling to see the lists of deportees, their narrow rooms, the mountains of personal effects, the wall of the executions, the pavilion of the experiments on men, the gas chambers. At Birkenau there is still the rail line where the convoys arrived loaded with deportees and the tower guard. Tychy through the evening I reach where I Olkusz hospitality in the rectory with two young priests known randomly. Before I sleep around with their Fiat Polsky, in practice one of our 126, among other things going on Pustynia Bledowska, the area of country where you were carrying the troops during the Nazi occupation of Poland. The next day transfer to Czestochowa home of the famous Black Madonna Shrine of the Patroness of the country. Is palpable everywhere the deep religiosity of Poles, Sunday cities and countries are empty because everyone goes to Mass, even in the days of the churches are working assiduously frequented and go to functions and types of people for their clothes not to equate ever a practicing Catholic. But here religion is something more, for years has been the bulwark against the communist regime and has always been an element of identification for these people. This interesting religious phenomenon that I have not seen by any other party in Europe is of course accentuated in Czestochowa, where the faithful are always numerous, crowded and features songs excited the visitors of this spiritual capital of Poland. I leave behind the Holy City and reach Wroclaw, much better known to the ancient name of Wroclaw, which has beautiful old town in architecture on which stand out the front of the Gothic town hall and some beautiful churches.
In the evening the long journey to the north with a stop at Griezno per night in a hotel probably dilapidated public property. If the private hotels are decent and sometimes carini, those state are ill-kept, dirty and humid despite the fact that often occupy historic buildings. The transfer made to the north on Saturday evening showed me another aspect of this country: the alcoholism. Passes for the towns I had many drunken dribble of all ages that staggering through the streets. The next morning after a brief stop in the center of Griezno I went to Strzelno where the Church was so crowded for the celebration Sunday that many of the faithful had to stand around on the square to hear the Mass from the external speakers to confirm the great religiosity of these people. I managed to peek inside of this Baroque church. In the afternoon I visited Torun, its churches and the Planetarium which offers a spectacle sull'universo. City, however, I was particularly pleased that the prospect you will enjoy along the Wisla, a river in Poland, we meet often. In the evening a night on the Baltic Leba. The day after visiting the fishing port of this town and start with a small electric vehicle at a time of Slowinski Park Narodowy where the Sahara Polski, a small mobile desert dunes overlooking the sea and beaten by the wind. Back in Leba continue to Gdansk and the historic center. After overnight visit Malbork Castle, the beautiful brick building once home of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, with interesting interior and a museum of amber. The evening Ketrzyn night in a hotel surrounded by forest. In this city, I realize that the more I move to find a more eastern Poland with poor public neglected. Ketrzyn then it is a dark city sidewalks with uneven. The next day through the wild landscape of Masuria with its lakes surrounded by green meadows and forests. There is also the "Tana del lupo" of Hitler and visited between about imposing bunker where the German dictator was also an attack on the part of yours. Punto then definitely on Warsaw finding accommodation in a beautiful nell'interland Motel. The following day I reach the Center of the Capital with half the public and visited, among others, the Castle, the Barbican, the Royal residence and a park. Many of the things I see and the Castle in particular are the result of heavy restructuring after the bombing of the Second World War. Having slept in the same Motel the day before leaving for the south making short stops in malls Radom Rzeszow and then sleep at Krosno. The next day I leave Poland for the Dukla Pass, which separates it from Slovakia. The passage is littered with war relics who remember the Soviet one of the bloodiest battles of World War II.
Following this Tour is transiting through Poland is going to return from a trip in the Baltics. At that pernottai Bartoszyce a day after attempting to cross the border with the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, but I was rejected. There riprovai also by the customs of Goldap But getting the same result. Returning from the Baltic transitai again from Dukla Pass.
Poland as a whole is an interesting country and a city beautiful Krakow. Must visit at least once in their life to the extermination camps of Birkenau and Auschwitz.
