portugal? is' yes, 'you', beautiful even in winter, but ... trust left at home! lisboa airport and port? beautiful (architecturally), but the disorganization and 'some' alarming!

PART 1
Usually I prepare my trips months in advance, by reading and / or re-reading books and novels about the country I am going to visit on the Internet documenting, analyzing, and Lonely Planet guides Touring Club - it ugly graphically, white and gray, little read maps, but very useful and sincere in the advice, without prejudice! - And the monographs of "meridians" of the monthly travel and tourism Editoriale Domus, the same as the famous "EA", so to speak.
In short, the eve of every thing, every event Leopardi talking is almost more important to me that I will live event itself.
For Portugal, then I read a lot of that great writer who is our Tabucchi (filoportoghese DOCG, and translator and connoisseur of all Pessoa), to search for that atmosphere then I would go to see and enjoy on-site in person, much of the great poet and writer Fernando Pessoa and the Nobel prize, Saramago (which was recently reprinted by Einaudi his "Journey to Portugal", more than a guide!). Useful cues from "Lisbon - what the tourists must see" of Pessoa, Publisher Passigli and "Travel, travel more" recent work of Antonio Tabucchi Einaudi.
But I made a terrible, unforgivable mistake: I have not sailed on www.tripswithpets.com, otherwise I would have realized that the animals in Portugal, in my case a sweet and very good dog for 3 years, 6kg, named Emma, ??NOT AT ALL Like! Especially in Lisbon, where people actually is a far wiser and emotionally (and civil) from "live with a pet", or little tolerance for anything, haughty and unsympathetic with the animals. Look at you as if you went around with an alligator on a leash! In Porto are a little more tolerant, more sociable with humans and animals. And so that our dog was traveling with us on the plane for the first time, and then hired car, with its beautiful European passport animal, its subcutaneous microchip, all vaccinations, inside his pink pet carrier, usually in the arm transporters in the shoulder or as a human baby! Nothing to do in Portugal - despite the recent European regulation which prohibits discrimination between humans with or without a pet in tow, and allows the entry (with all the right preventive measures) everywhere, except civil exceptions - AND 'WITH FORBIDDEN' ANIMAL:
1. use public transportation, 2. definitely get in restaurants, bars, pastry shops, cultural monuments and religious sites and not 3. enter into commercial stores for shopping (clerks, workers prefer to lose the sale than you get with the dog in his arms!) 4. take elevators, the famous' Elevador "Lisbon, where they even fought each other two employees of Carris, the municipal transport company, because the lift-girl was absolutely contrary Capetta and its attendant marketing more tolerant, but won the grim senhorina 5. in a few hotels / inns / residencial are allowed and with many operational limitations unjustified; 5. Car ... Dogs welcome, but they think you should keep the dog locked in the cage forever, for fear that it might mess! (CONTINUED)
