Discovering the charming and beautiful Portugal

At the gates of 'summer, when we started thinking about where we wanted to spend the holidays, came to me and Brunella lighting: Portugal! Without thinking twice we bought too much internet airline tickets and booked the rental car. Air route Rome-Porto, exploring the length and breadth of the entire (wonderful) country, staying in comfortable, clean and cheap B & B, to make a real "circumnavigation" of the nation that brought us through the historic cities Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra; wilderness and evocative as the Algarve, with its splendid beaches and the ominous windswept headlands, quiet and lush countryside. The tour ended where it began, in the colorful and lively port, from which an aircraft has taken us back to Italy ..

 

Departure

After a couple of hours by train we arrive at Rome Fiumicino, quick check-in formalities at about 13.30 and our flight takes off Porto TAP destination on time. Three hours of smooth flight and land, again right on time. Baggage reclaim in modern Portuguese port in record time and collect the car all'Avis not far from the airport: a black Fiat Grande Punto. Now marching destination Coimbra. It is not difficult to navigate in the historic university city, so that we can find a hostel in the center, very clean and economical. Take a shower and then off to explore on foot the small, beautiful town center. An excellent dinner of fish, have a chat with the friendly waiter and then to bed.
