At the Castelo de Sao Jorge, we arrived by taxi, because the zone Baixa (the lower part of the city) we have to go and climb endless stairs, through the historic Alfama district, the only district of Lisbon that survived the terrible earthquake of 1755 which destroyed the entire city.
