I state that before this trip I was already in Portugal for the first time in Valenca do Minho in Spain by bus and a second time to work in an aircraft with a stopover in Porto technician to return to Lisbon.
The Tour in this country is part of a wider trip to the Iberian peninsula including Spain, Andorra and Gibraltar (see on Tour).
Portugal entered the border with Spain to Vilar Formoso I reached for a port visit to the city that I found very dirty and poor. The Cafe do Brasil in the center, for example, has a terrace covered with a rusty. Every so often there is still some azulejos (drawings on ceramic) on the facade of a building. From here I continue with my Fiat Tipo northwards and sleep in Spanish Galicia after crossing the border of Valenca do Minho. The following day after visiting Sant'Iago de Compostela (see Tour in Spain) are back in Portugal still crossing the border of Valenca do Minho. Along the Atlantic and Puerto baipassando I directed south to visit Fatima, once a village and now home to one of the most important Marian shrines in the world. After this I stopped due to direct Batalha Cathedral with a beautiful clear-colored style manuelino. At night I slept in a dilapidated room rentals in Vila franca de Xira. The next day visit to Lisbon with the Rossio square, that do Comercio, the Church of St. Anthony of Padua was born here and the hill feature dell'Alfama at the location of typical restaurants and bars where you dance the fado. In the Portuguese capital is no shortage Churches, Castles and Palaces, one after the fire that destroyed 700 of the city was never rebuilt and shows its ruins. Lisbon is all a salt between the hills and come down heavily in the centuries that man characteristic tram link between them. With half the public to reach the famous Tower of Belem that I gagged for restoration, the monument to the discovery overlooking the Atlantic and the Naval Museum. Then left the capital to reach Cabo de Roca, the easternmost point of mainland Europe marked by a beacon and sleep in an inn in Sintra. The next morning in the outskirts of town I go to the Château de la Pena, a cocktail of architectural styles make it fabulous. After transiting through the famous seaside resorts of Cascais and Estoril, Lisbon baipasso overcoming one of the longest bridges in Europe sull'immensa place the mouth of the Tagus and I head south.
In the afternoon are the famous maritime Faro in the Algarve where it overlooks the most characteristic village of Olhao. In the evening I leave Portugal crossing the Spanish border at Vila Real do San Antonio.
Portugal is interesting when placed in a context of a trip to the Iberian Peninsula.
