The monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória na Batalha is located in the district of Leiria. Its name derives from a battle fought in 1385 between the Portuguese and Castilian (Aljubarrota battle) and won by the first. The construction of the late Gothic-style manuelino is still incomplete, because there is a chapel (the Capelas Imperfeitas) in which no inter alia cover.
