I have been a few times in this area is to move towards other goals in that visit. I state that this information relates only to the south of the northern Bucovina because at the end of World War II was subtracted granted to Romania and the Soviet Union and is now the territory of Ukraine. Southern Bucovina is famous for its numerous churches and for the frescoes both external and internal are considered true art caskets. The monasteries are located far from large population centers, often isolated or near a small village, in an environment of mountains and forests. During major holidays the doors are opened to the faithful who often arrive at the Monastery with food and fruits of the earth. On these occasions is a big table set up in the refectory where between songs and prayers and eat together religious pilgrims. In these places of Orthodox worship is the strong smell of wax spread by numerous condele, the hour of prayer is announced by a monaco to strike a hammer with a wooden beam, the sound vibrates in a collection by calling the faithful. There are many interesting places but the most significant in my opinion are the monasteries of Sucevita, and Moldovita Voronet. The road that leads from Cimpulung Moldoveneasc north along the walls of a tiny Moldovita where the Church is completely frescoed courtyard in a well, stone buildings and a bust in memory of Prince Petru Rares, the founder of the Monastery. In the nearby village is not unusual for anyone to offer unique pieces of handicrafts such as the famous wooden eggs painted by hand. Not far away, near Radauti, is the largest monastery Sucevita fortified by strong walls. Even here, turning around the church you can admire the pictorial narratives drawn from sacred texts. If instead of going north-east of Cimpulung Moldoveneasc continue to Suceava is incotro other two small monasteries, where Voronet during the execution of the frescoes was set up a particular shade of blue and hardly reproducible in Gura Humorului. The capital of Southern Bucovina, Suceava, is not particularly interesting but in its vicinity is a pleasant visit to the Monastery of Dragomirna who have not richly frescoed exterior presents two special features: walls and a church that grows in height.
