This year we decided to spend the New Year's Eve in Moscow, courageous decision, since we expect -15 C but the idea of spending the last of the red square will attract a great deal, if we can resolve this dell'assideramento problem!
The city is very large but most of the most important things are all within a few kilometers. Red Square is beautiful and the Basilica di San Basilio seems the castle of the fairies! Inside the square you can find other buildings such as the Mausoleum of Lenin in the square with a monument inside the embalmed body of one of the fathers of communism, still highly esteemed in Russia ... the other side of the square to find the stores Gum, a historic building but has turned into a shopping center: very typical. Another thing to do is visit the Kremlin, especially rich in churches decorated with icons and gold in abundance. Around the Kremlin you can visit the gardens of Alexander, through which you are directly in Red Square. The blow on the eye but the Kremlin is on the right side of Moscow, from there you can see St. Basil, and a piece of Red Square. Another attraction not to be missed are the underground stations, works of art in full rule! The Board is to lose at least a morning to stroll to the underground in search of the most beautiful stations. As for the museums, the Pushkin Museum, there was very impressed, in our opinion is nothing exceptional although still worth a visit us. An exception are certainly Banja, typical Russian baths, where you switch from sauna to ice-water bath to "flogging" with twigs, a swim in pools freddine, early traumatic experience that allows to have direct contact with the Russians, as these toilets are frequented by people who generally know English. As for the people the experience was negative: people of a certain age will not know the English are rather "hostile" towards tourists as well as the police ...
The city can be visited comfortably in a week, although we recommend you go in the hottest periods! Between smog and cold air is very difficult to survive!
