Having to plan a short break between Romagna and Tuscany, I took the opportunity to make a quick trip to St. Marino, right precisely because they do not ever go there though is just around the corner.
I thought to start your visit in the evening for a taste closer to that time were, as a small medieval town, so imagine it with knights, ladies and courtiers in the alleys lit with ribbons and yellow.
I only found groups of tourists with breeches that wandering among the narrow streets, while shops lowered their shutters, looking for where to eat dinner prices.
In many ways I could satisfy my passion to photograph glimpses of ancient walls and monuments.
Are returned the next morning to visit the historical center and its monuments, the streams of tourists through alleys and squares have increased and many walls are covered with displays of souvenirs of all kinds almost hiding the old walls, old gates and construction details which together become meaningless.
Unfortunately the old town center can be considered a great mall to buy liquor, precious, modeling, stamp and coin collecting, playing medieval weapons, Japanese katana, and many toy guns and airsoft.
Frightens almost normal in people who enter and choose the weapon of all those exposed as if they were to counter the greengrocers.
While buying a reproduction of a medieval sword alongside the boys bought a gun and 25 kg. plastic pellets, outside a child rechecked just bought the gun while his father rebuked him with a rifle arm.
Another curiosity is the fact that there are many objects with the classic fascist and Nazi symbols.
I made him a joke on that occasion naturally brings us all together in acts that normally would not have done in our home cities, and we started to smile as the situations make us behave different.
Among the most important monuments to visit are the towers of the defensive calls before Guaita tower or fortress, the Rocca Second Tower or Cesta and Montale or Third Tower and the Museum of Torture.
I visited only the first two towers and then the visit continued in the Government Palace with the Hall of Knights and then recovered the car I went on my vacation.
Did you know that St. Marino is governed by a single room with two prime ministers who can not occupy that seat more than six months?
Greetings and good trip, wherever.
