Easter holidays on the shores of lake Bled.. Motorhome trip to Slovenia

The weather forecast is bad, it rains.
Tarvisio highway until we cross the border at Kraniska Gora, from here we do not take the highway, the stretch to do is short and not worth paying the dearest Slovenian cartoons.
The Tom Tom abandons us, is not designed to Slovenia, the readings give us leaving us without problems leading to Bled. Arriving at the town, follow the lake next to the campsite, well signposted.
The camp is very nice and well equipped, although the green spots with a bit of mud, clean and tidy service.
We should be 56 campers with about 150 people, including many children and teenagers.
After settling we do have knowledge with other participants, some of them have already met at other gatherings, we find a couple with whom we have made the journey to Samarkand.

Bled Camping

Today, Holy Friday, bicycle tour of the lake.
Both me and Tina are not very fit, still got on the bike and we aggregate to the group, we follow the road keeping the lake on the left, sometimes there are some climbs, I'm not ashamed to say it, but I and many others go down and continue to walk pushing the bike, great boss Luigi from time to time it stops and waits for the old people out of breath.
The sky is overcast and sometimes rainy, all are equipped with waterproof suitable for bikes, the scenery is beautiful and shot several photos, arrived at Bled Lake, but you do not continue to climb the mountain and pass through small villages of farmers. Returning to the lake until it crosses the camp, tired and hungry we return to our campers to prepare a nice pasta and deserved.
After a deserved rest, Louis with his trumpet call to report the campers: we start walking to the castle to get there is a long way with several climbs, the last before the entry of the castle, crushes me, I miss your breath, my lung illness claim oxygen, m stop several times but in the end I am glad I can get to the door to others who are waiting to enter. The castle is very beautiful and old, beautifully restored, its interior is a museum, an antique print shop, a brother that sells quality wine and the mayor of Bled that welcomes us in period costume.
Come back, unfortunately, put a foot wrong and my knee, operated on at the time, it starts to hurt, I limped the whole way back.
Back at camp, Louis offers all participants a rich appetizer, three tables improvvsati appears everything and more ': wine, salami, potato chips, pigeons and many delicacies, needless to say there's nothing left ... ..

Bled Camping

9 am, starting with three buses to Lake Bohinj.
With a friendly guide who speaks Italian, visit villages and towns, there is also a planned visit to a waterfall, but the path is long and steep and my knee will not let me, reluctantly give up. Pending the return of the group, Tina and I stopped there with others in a bar where we taste the delicious ham Slovenia.
After lunch of cold dishes, always in bus we visited the town of Radovljica with the church of San Pietro, a shrine visited by Pope John Paul II, there is a statue in memory of that day.
Back at the camper we expect a show organized by the medieval custom of the camp staff. Dances and duels and finally a goulach cooked in the pot.
The day does not end here, after dinner, Pletna features boats, accompanied by accordion music, take us across the lake from the campsite, and then to the island town of Bled, the return will walk around the lake with torches, beautifully designed. My knee was not the permit and make the van to escort me back to the campsite.

Today Easter is no trip planned just for children has been prepared as a surprise, with the help of the children of the camp, we have prepared a large table with all the equipment and paint to color the eggs, the young artists have a lot of fun.
At lunch all at the camp restaurant, the chef has worked hard and everyone was happy with what we have been served at the end, with the assistance of Louis broke a big chocolate Easter egg enjoyed by all.
Quiet afternoon of rest, the evening back to the restaurant with a dinner of cevapcici, the evening was enlivened by Nini, a participant in the rally, which was sung by making available its educational system.

Easter Monday Monday, was scheduled to visit the waterfalls of Vintgar, unfortunately due to bad weather that would make slippery the various paths, the trip was canceled.
At this point we decided to return home, greeted friends with the hope of coming to a next meeting, I put in motion and I directed the camper home.
