Postojna, the most famous caverns in the world

If you decide to travel to Croatia by car entering from the north, should take into consideration the idea of the slightly longer route to visit the caves of Postojna, because, in addition to being huge and justly famous, are also very beautiful and features.

The cave is, 20 km long, although the km are much less visited.

Is visited by a train that goes for about 4 km inside the cave, and with a nice walking path that allows you to enjoy an endless series of spectacular formations. The total visit lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, (the one hour walk).

Visit:

Reached the top, you have a wonderful coup d eye of this part of the cave, and the bizarre shapes of concretions leave room for imagination.
Continue down the bridge crossing the Russian, which makes it possible to overcome a deep ravine and admire the striking of the hall where hundreds of Spaghetti concretions fine stretch from the ceiling and remember our national dish.
Towards the end of the trail here is the famous Bright, a symbol of the caves, a concretion and white very high.
L last room you come across, before returning with the train exterior, is the magnificent concert hall, so called because here have also performed concerts masters such as Mascagni, thanks to the wonderful acoustics of the hall.

The caves are accessible from Trieste with a full motorway route (about 40 minutes).
Entrance about € 13 per person, plus the cost to park the car (2 euro). In the summer the tours are every hour from 9 to 18.

To note the temperature, a constant 8 degrees in winter as in summer, so it is necessary to cover adequately
