Do not enter your travel dates why not remember having spent a long time. Among other things, I was in Spain before and after this trip. The tour I am describing is an integral part of a broader trip that also included Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar of which refer to the descriptions. This tour was made with a friend on board of my Fiat Tipo.
First contact with Spain in all'enclave Llivia of French territory, a few km away from the border. Short stop just to say we have been. After leaving the enclave return journeys in France and a few km actual entry into Spain and stop at La Seo de Urgel whose cathedral houses the Bishop who, together with the French President, is co-prince of Andorra. Hence again we leave Spain for Andorra where to stay. The next morning and return to Spain through to the Seo de Urgel we head to Barcelona. This beautiful city welcomes us with long and lively ramblas lined with typical kiosks and attended by singers, mimes and jugglers. Starting from the Ramblas Plaza Catalunya, with its majestic fountain and front end to high column of Christopher Columbus that overlooks the harbor. During my previous trip here went on the reconstruction of a Caravella removed today. Near the Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter with its gloomy palaces and the Cathedral. The memory of it is perpetrated by Gaudi Sagrada Familia, his unfinished masterpiece, a tangle of pinnacles towards the sky. Lleida night and morning visit to the Cathedral of Nuestra Senora del Pilar in Zaragoza. The Church is dedicated to the patron saint of Hispanic peoples and inside there are the flags of all Spanish-speaking countries. The square that is home to huge and modern, while the cathedral inside is austere. From here to San Sebastian-Donostia, the capital of the Basque Country. Area of ETA and riots in fact in front of the Cathedral there were those who protested for the release of political prisoners. The city has a beautiful seafront called "The Shell", the old city has ancient buildings, a beautiful bridge and a monumental building whose walls rough boys play the Basque pelota. The city later, Burgos, is dirty but it was the first capital of Spain has interesting monuments: the Cathedral and in particular de las Huelgas Monastery which houses a good slice of national history. Continue to Valladolid to admire its cathedral, then in the evening charm of Salamanca: beautiful and great cathedral, lively square with hundreds of young students. Salamanca but also a number of hidden corners that will fascinate you. From here towards the border with Portugal stop in Ciudad Rodrigo, interesting because it completely walled. Few kilometers to leave Spain and into Portugal from the border of Fuente de honor (see Tour in Portugal).
Returning to Spain from Portugal and arrived in Sant'Iago de Compostela to visit the famous Cathedral of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages. From Sant'Iago return to Portugal from the border at Tuy (for the Tour in Portugal see on route)
Returning to Spain from Portugal to Ayamonte where to stay. Continued the next day for the beautiful Seville with its Cathedral with a romantic cloister of the bell and said "Giralda" where you can enjoy a splendid panorama of the city and the famous arena de toros. A short walk from here palaces and majestic gardens dell'Alcazar finely decorated with stucco Moorish style, fountains and water features. Reach the sea at Tarifa, the European extremity toward Africa. Close to the line to leave Spain for an hour of walking in the British colony of Gibraltar (see on tour) then we return to Spanish territory on the coast road going up to Malaga where sleep. The next day it was the turn of Granada, another beautiful Andalusian city dominated by the hill that houses the jewel of Moorish architecture is the Alhambra, a true city within a city. The palaces dell'Alhambra are immersed in the green and off for a fairy tale, like its fountains and its water features. Enchanting garden of the Generalife and the Alcazaba. Fell from a hill we can see next to the Madrasa, the Cathedral and the Chapel Royal with the remains of Isabella of Castile and wife. In the afternoon another beautiful Moorish city awaits us, Cordoba. You enter the old town by passing a bridge over the river, then along narrow streets lined with shops meets the Mozquita. But the best thing of Cordoba is getting lost in an intricate maze of streets in which the white lime. From here the long transfer to Toledo, the beautiful medieval town with narrow streets that rise and fall, antique shops of the manufacturers of knives, a cathedral whose walls are shown himself the chains of slaves, the Alcazar, which dominates from a hill and the memory of the Greek painter El. Continuing, baipassando Madrid, El Escorial or the enormous palace that represents the Spanish Versailles is the Pantheon of the Iberian monarchy. Visited the palace we aim to Avila, the town of Santa Teresa that we see from the top of a hill, with its beautiful castle walls towered. The fleeting visit Segovia at short stop in the amount of fairy turreted Alcazar. In the evening in Madrid, the capital, to take a look at the royal palace and the square Piazza Maggiore. In Madrid I was a few years before making a stop before reaching the airport bus in La Coruna. From Madrid return without stopping.
As for my other passages in Spain remembers being a first time following the hockey team of the track of Forte dei Marmi in Barcelona and Oviedo, this trip was done by bus.
On another occasion I left alone by train and I have reached Spain at Irun, and then change the station to Venta de Banos and arrival to Oviedo, where I was one week for Europeans hockey track. At the same route back.
On another occasion I arrived in Spain by plane landing in Madrid, from there by bus to La Coruna for the World Cup of hockey track. Return same route.
On another occasion I arrived in Spain by plane landing in Barcelona where I stayed for one day before returning by the same means at home.
On another occasion with the bus following a trail hockey team went around Barcelona, and specifically in Sant Sadurni d'Anoia and Vilafranca del Penedes.
The last time I was in Spain I crossed by bus to reach Algeciras from where I took the ferry to Tangiers in Morocco.
Spain I found very interesting, certainly a country to visit. Especially the landscape of the Meseta nell'altopiano especially where there are areas of desert land ocher. In contrast in Andalusia, you can see many bulls in the meadows with grazing alternated with desert areas.
