A two-day City Break in the beautiful Mediterranean islands of Spain. Starting March 5, return March 7, 2009. Gufare wonderful time despite the weather, sea muy fria cerveza in hand ...

Thursday, March 5
Why Ibiza in March? For 10 good reasons: 10 euro flight to \ rx 2 people including taxes! With such an offer we could not miss the opportunity of a weekend in our beloved Spain: so, with a light background and the desire to sun \ sea \ 5 tapas we start Thursday at home at a time of Orio al Serio. After just over an hour drive we arrive at the Terminal (parking) 2 minutes before opening the gate.
Ryanair does not deny and depart on time, very quiet flight (2 hours) and sleep great at least until 10 minutes from landing when an agitated ciccionazzo aldehyde let us know his plans for the next few days, practically urlandoceli ears.
The airport of Ibiza is small and nice, pity about the lack of an internet point. The bus to the city (line 10 or 10b) every hour and takes 25 min to reach Av d'Espanya, the main street, the cost is about 3 € a \ r (info http://www. ibizabus.com /).

Unfortunately for us the bus in question had just started and having no desire to wait an hour in the middle of nowhere we opted for the solution Taxi: 9 minutes exactly at 9 €, very comfortable.
once in the city easily reach the hotel (Maritimo). Check in very quick, helpful staff, clean room and decent and wonderful sea view (be specified when booking). Discover later that the hotel also has a small indoor pool and gym, as well as a restaurant \ bar open until late at night, ideal for a supply schedule.

Dumping the fly backpacks and head immediately toward the old city walking along the coast. The weather, despite the adverse weather is better: 16 degrees, sunny and not a cloud the horizon, just windy. The castle is very nice, typical white houses with blue shutters that are a little greece. In 10 minutes you can turn tranqullamente far and wide. We noticed several local \ shops closed for renovation, probably in the summer should be a lively area: in our case was almost empty. We decide to go down to the port, the central and most touristic city. be reported in this area the Tourist Office: Located right on the harbor, is a tiny shop (3 sqm.) distinguishable only by the great "I" of information placed above it. Here two old carampane will be happy to provide maps (updated) and information (probably dating back to World War I) on the island.

The center of Ibiza has young clothing shops and details, strangely, unlike capitatoci in other European cities, we have not come across various H & M and Zara company .. the island from this point of view, it seems a bit forgotten globalization. Quite the opposite hand as regards the soup. Forget Spanish style tapas bars and restaurants. This is the home of fast food: Burger King, McDonald's and KFC everywhere. Sadly this time we could not even make us a tapas: and yes we were on Spanish soil!

After some shopping fast back to the hotel for a refreshing pennicchella in anticipation of the evening. Returning to the base we find, alas, the hotel is so close to the center as it appeared from the map, or melgar the crow flies is a shame that in the middle of the trajectory arises from a hill circumnavigate!
Towards evening, rested and refreshed from a dormitozza nearly 3 hours (we were dancing from 7 am) back in the port area expecting to find haunts \ pubs where drink .. Disappointment around the center there are 3 small bars open microbiota (side by side) and a pub. Let's start with an icy cerveza at the pub (desert) and bounces in a couple of three small bars, much more crowded (only natives, no tourists). At about 22:30 we return to the pub and surprisingly packed with people we find that if the laughs was the evening cabaret. Finished the spettaccolo some DJ sets and then live music. the pub in question is the Teatro Pereyra (http://www.teatropereyra.com/) nice atmosphere, abbordabilissimi cost, quality drinks and beers, attended by people of all ages. Small note: When the live music begins Drinks doubled in price .. best first source.
Sodisfatti we go back to the hotel to enjoy a good sleep.
