This year we decided to spend New Year in Barcelona. No one had ever visited, is something quite affordable, even economically, love Gaudi ...
We traveled with Ryanair and the cost of being a page out of the choir have to say that all journeys made by this company, I found bad ... much better Easyjet or Skyeurope! I stayed at Numancia is strongly ... the hotel at all, really comfortable, clean and comfortable and close to metro (green line) which takes you in 5 minutes in the center.
I have not made the Barcelona card, preferring to make a 3-day ticket for metro and taking advantage of discounts with the card number of CTS (Indispensable! Is a pass for each attraction).
That said, the goals are obliged to Barcelona of Gaudi's houses (to go inside .... the beautiful terrace of pedrera), the Parc Guell, the Sagrada Familia (with the ascent to the pinnacles ).... Therefore, in all honesty, Barcelona is not a city that has inspired me so much ... all the comments after the imagined best .... but certainly an why. Perhaps the time has not been exceptional .... the city was too crowded, we were lucky with time ....
Do not miss in my opinion the show to the magic fountain of Montjuic, the walk to the port until the Barceloneta, the Agbar Tower at night, the pavilion mies van de rohe to Monjuic and poble espanyol ..... we found a museum contemporary art beautiful!
Fortunately, public transportation are all very efficient, with the metro you can reach anywhere .....
last piece of advice: eat the paella, which is very good but avoid the restaurants on the port if you are saving!
