5 days to visit Barcelona are, according to some, too, but for us that we both enjoyed the walk that we take it easy in its parks (Parc de la Ciutadella and Montjuïc) or on the beach of Barceloneta, were right, right.
With the ticket is valid for 5 days tram / bus and subway to 24 € instead of twice the travelcard for tourists, we like the area we shot 1 of Bracellona. We took all the means available to the city: bus, tram, metro, funicular to Tibidabo, funicular to Montujic, cableway and tram blau (the latter not included in your subscription) and we were able to admire the city from above.
The fact that we were in August, the sun, the heat, the queues of tourists and the protests of our old son, made us choose to postpone a forthcoming trip to visit the museums (Picasso, Dali, Miro ...) and unfortunately, the Pedrera. Instead we visited this jewel of Casa Batllo, also liked the boys and I highly recommend. The audio guide included in the ticket price is clear and comprehensive and lights, colors and shapes of the house are causing you to take pictures from every angle to capture the feelings experienced. Ford continued the day with a visit to Park Guell. The number 24 bus at the entrance door from which high, coming down, you get to the square, the colonnade and sculptures designed by Gaudi.
Another row on which we could not escape was to go to the Sagrada Familia. Once inside you can not give rise to the pinnacles of elevators (again, row!) And then go down stairs and mazes of tunnels, looking out to the various crevices that allow the views of Barcelona from the top, but also to see from near the sculptures placed on the spire on the side.
We turned to the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas, and we enjoyed the delights offered by the Fruit Market Bouqueria in a riot of colors and scents. There are not missing this well-deserved rest day at the table of one of the many bars in town to drink, "the daily pitcher" of sangria.
On Saturday evening, after trying almost everything from the tapas menu Mexcal, we reached Piazza d'Espana to witness the spectacle of lights and sounds of the fountains (all events in the summer, there are Thursday through Sunday). The next day we looked back, Piazza d'Espana, Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina to climb up and then up to the Palacio Nacional in Montjuic Park, through the gardens and the Roman theater, to the Miro Foundation. From there we took the funicular and then the cable car to the castle of Montjuic. The goal was the return Rambla del Mar and therefore a ride for shopping and lunch at the center Maremagnum.La walk continued along the promenade to the beach of Barceloneta, where we granted along with thousands of others, a well-deserved rest. In the evening, following the advice of many tourists, we had dinner by "Rei de la Gamba". The portions are fried in our stratospheric .... there was so much stuff that ultimately "won the shrimp", because despite our hunger, we could not finish them!
We were incredulous that one evening we came back and we tried the grilled shrimp ... but in the end they won again. Congratulations to the Rei de la Gamba!
With a 13 year old son who plays football, was the favorite spot of Barcelona's Camp Nou. It 'amazing how they managed to make it one of the most visited attractions in the city, but actually the visit, as well as rich and varied (changing rooms, press box, the commentary positions, museum, trophies, interactive video, etc ...) is also exciting.
Nice was the ride on the funicular tram up blau which then took us to the top of Tibidabo hill (535 meters) where there is also an amusement park for children. Still higher, on top of a staircase, is the church of Sagrat Cor surmounted by a monumental statue of Christ.
The last laps we have taken to the Arc de Triomphe, the Parc de la Ciutadella and the district of Born.
What can I say .... go there!
