Unknown, unexpected ... wonderful Granada.
A nice weekend, but a whole month would not be wasted.
City dominated in the long course of its history for over 700 years by Muslims and their immense cultural wealth.
Over the past 500 years has been the Christian and his baggage to be known by the thousands of background events, important or not, susseguitesi between the narrow roads that climb into the majestic Sierra Nevada ...
I do not know what to expect never exactly when I reach a place, wherever it is, for the first time. And it is one of the best feelings for me when, once again, the intertwining of magic created by nature and by man, manage to capture them in a manner similar to that which the Andalusian city is successful.
Here the man's work is the master. And it is impossible not to be dazzled by the architectural and historical marvels of which the city has.
The district dell'Albaycin, historic village of Arab domination, while winds enchants for its narrow streets that climb the hill on which it is built, including fabulous villas and houses white. And then miss the sunset and the view from the esplanade S. Nicolas, from which the show as the background with the Alhambra is one of the most beautiful I have been fortunate enough to attend ...

The whole complex and especially the palace and the Generalife de Nasrid are an exquisite architectural unrivaled.
Having had the opportunity to visit much bigger complex real stampo Muslim Topkapi in Istanbul in the first place, I thought I could not expect much from Granada ... but, even if smaller in size, the Alhambra is a true wonder art of the highest. With nothing to envy to the most well-known European cities.
Then the Christian part, for the most built during the Spanish conquest, in which stands the baroque cathedral, complete the beautiful scenery of this enchanting city.
If you then add the low prices, food and cooking and exceptional, living for the past more than four years between the Catalans and their culture "alternative" and not typically Spanish, friendliness and sympathy of Andalusia, one can not but think Granada as the next destination.
