(1389 km distance from home). The attraction for this city was born perhaps in 1994 years of the Olympics in the Catalan capital, the first that I can remember with a certain sharpness. See the images on TV and realize that something magical about this city has to hide it by force. Toccata and Fugue in school trips this time we start to discover Barcelona which really only sound enchanting, with its colors, its traditions and its vitality palpable. Rayan Air Flight, hotel booked through Booking.com as is now usual (Principal Hotel) recommended because it is located very close to the market and Bouqueria Rambla. Some general considerations of Barcelona: airport shuttle with a very close reach in 20 minutes, well functioning transport network, pleasant climate, though gracious (we in the month of January we took an off-season tan), food, and nothing short of spectacular nice people, and solar (it is a truism, but it really is) very similar to the Italians. In fact, not surprisingly, the Italian is the first foreign representation in the city and it really gets in a hurry to get in tune with the rhythms and the local habits: eat at 20:00 meaning being surrounded exclusively by tourists with guides in hand like you chose that restaurant because it reported. We purchased the card valid for 5 days for the use of means and conventions for a museum but in the end doing the accounts has not been so convenient. In Barcelona, ??all looks set to pure aesthetic taste and the highest expressions of fantasy, from street lamps and benches to walk down the street is like going to places that have the fantastic and develop a natural way that leads to the feeling of walking in a beautiful but expression not only visual but also purely practical. Barcelona is an incredible mix of colors, scents, sounds and images that you can hardly find in other cities, and even if it can be annoying to someone) I much preferred in Madrid alone and also for the simple fact that c ' is the sea. Difficult to bring back a detailed diary for 6 days so I'll just repeat what we think should definitely seen with a small introduction about the person who made Barcelona as one of the most visited cities in Europe:

Antoni Gaudi: the Catalan architect knew nothing but the knowledge of his work has really struck me. Colors, lines that now seem well established at the time but that the artist had seen more than risky, a philosophy of life that made you see all that he created. All that is before our eyes without logic was created because the logic functionality and nelle'estetico. A true genius who, like all genes, then it is appreciated. Unbelievable its fate: a car hit and exchanged for a common bum in time of the accident because they now lived in a sloppy, with the obsession of his last work for which the Sagrada Familia is still following its original design. Seeing his works one can only have one consideration: this man was a genius!

Market Bouqueria: explosion of colors and flavors. Stroll through the aisles of the market forever sampling, among the booths and the other the ham cut into cubes or sipping a lot of smoothies that are proposed

Sagrada Familia: those who have visited before 2011 there had definitely not recommended and described as an extraordinary work from the outside but inside a construction site. Well, the most representative work of Barcelona is a show in the true sense of the word and even if we did not take the elevators because the tickets were finished, we stayed for three hours with the nose in listening to the audio guide Italian that describes this work of extraordinary beauty created by the genius of Gaudi who also slept in it in the first period of implementation. It seems incredible that it is unreal that structure with features so bold and bizarre.

House Battle: Another extraordinary work of the Catalan architect should not be missed. It feels like being inside a house fairy and the impression is always that of being inside something unreal but where everything is made in a functional and not purely for aesthetic reasons. Fantastic

Parc Guell: I really wanted to be one of the wealthy that they would have to live within this area. Born, as something unique, the park of the "wonders" really looks like a fairytale world, free zone created by the imagination of its creator. Hours to be missed in the low season as the beauty of the place makes it a hub of tourists who go crazy at the beauty of the place and the beautiful view of the city where you can enjoy from the terrace of the park.

Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas: the neighborhood side of the Rambla is the street full of life that connects Plaza Catalunya to the sea with all its quirky street artists. The district with its narrow streets and hidden corners of the cathedral of incredible beauty.

Plaza Espana and magic fountain: Climb up the stairs at the end of the square where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the city and to sit on the stairs just before the start of the show of colors and fountain with water jets that go to the music .

Camp Nou, perhaps the only thing is when Madrid beat Barcelona. The Bernabeu is architecturally more pleasing than the Camp Nou. The museum inside for a football fan is something not to be missed: the passage by shivering the tunnel to the playing field in which they are fired out loud choruses of the stadium with the adrenaline and it seems that you really want to be gasa you should take a moment to collect a pass on the wing.

Zone of the Olympic Port: very pleasant walk to do possibly with the sun at sunset that colors the entire contour. On the walk, which starts from the funicular up to the castle, there are artists who create monuments of beach sand.

Palau de la Musica Catalana: Little known but a breath-taking beauty. We have made the visit because he had cut the last day a time when we did not know what to do veins. There are times for visits that are conducted in Spanish and English (though this is very understandable in Spanish) and the only flaw is that the prohibition of photos inside. Incredible!

Get on the Columbus monument is not missed a thing as the triumphal arch and the Montjuic Castle, however if you have time do not hurt but is not valid for the funicular, during which it has a breathtaking view over the city. Small cost considerations in our opinion too high for the cable cars that you have to make to reach the castle.

Tasty tips: El Rey de la Barceloneta leg: huge amounts at very low prices for paella and fideua must-try, perhaps the best 7 Portes Restaurant where we ate paella. Do not miss a taste to the chocolate museum and a visit from Gispert. In general the area of ??Barceloneta and the Gothic Quarter are excellent night spots, but one thing of which we do not need to escape the second in Barcelona is a Catalan cream after a delicious tour of Bar de Tapas accompanied by a nice glass of sangria, but done on time.
