My holidays in Menorca.. Trip to the Balearics, Spain

Given the various experiences and useful information that I found on this site, I want to write about a trip to Menorca spent in 2007.

we were staying in a three-star hotel (hotel sur Menorca) to Biniancolla, a small village near the Punta Prima beach .. nothing special either as beach as water.
Meanwhile the two weeks of vacation we had three days of excursions around the island and we visited several places:

ciutadella: old town but very characteristic and full of monuments and ancient buildings. to do the walk too close to the port, where you can also grab a bite.
Cala Galdana: large but crowded beach, water with slopes more or less sweet but with little transparency. all ruined by excessive urbanization.
Cala Mitjana: the most beautiful beach along a cove Pregonda, more or less crowded beach with fine sand, amazing sea .. also at 6 pm. to be missed.
Es Arenal en Castell: large and medium crowded beach, deep sea immediately and not transparent .. it gets better.
Cala Macarella: beautiful, uncrowded beach, great sea, the only porblem is the algae to shore but after that you get lost in a turquoise sea and clear. attention to the wind.
Cala Turqueta: beach with fine white sand and quite busy .. amazing sea.
Cala Pregonda: beach great if you arrive early in the morning. you hear the slightest noise and you are nellla absolute peace. beach land of red earth and barren sea steep but with a transparency incredible .. if you look below you while swimming appears to be floating on nothing .. fantastic. not to be missed for any reason.

I hope I have described my feelings in the best way .. will post the pictures of all the beaches (except dell'arenal d'en castell) and ciutadella
