Ro and I have switched to FORMENTERA only a week, that of August. The time is sufficient to visit the island in peace. We've turned into scooter, from which we had booked through the agency advised. Our hotel was located in Platy Es Arenales. The beach is very beautiful and it is the Chiringuito El Pirata (beach bar) which is very soul towards evening, at dell'happy hour. The holiday in FORMENTERA was very fun with all these holidays on the beach and is really beautiful after the happy hour stay on the beach watching the stars and then dive for a bath of midnight. Chiringuito spread of the island there is a lot, the most famous are the Tanga, Big Sur, near the salt to the Mogambo Migjorn, etc. etc.. As for the beaches, it is difficult to find a bad FORMENTERA but the most beautiful we have seen are those of Cala Saona, where the sea has an incredible color, Platy de Ses Illetes (which is the most famous) really extraordinary, Platy de Migjorn and Illa de s'Espalmador (la + bella). The name comes because it spreads to the shoulders of siaggia you can make the mud even if not recommended because there are rumors that this mud is built from a nearby pigsty ... ....! Here the sand is pink and the water transparent and low for several meters. The day we visited this beach had participated in a catamaran trip around the island, which is strongly. We made a stop at natural pools for snorkelling and I must say that we saw several fish! Unforgettable sunsets FORMENTERA ... no shortage of strategic places to observe them as the flagship Mola, beautiful at night when the full moon, the Cap De Barbaria (where there is also a small cave that has a hole in rock in which it must "set") which offers a magnificent view from the restaurant or El Mirador.
A restaurant where you eat really good Paella is the Isla Pequena, which is on the way to go to the flagship Mola (Loc. La Mola Tel 971/327 068), by reservation only, is always very full. In the same area in Pilar de La Mola is being held at the Hippy Market on Wednesday from 16 to 22, nice to visit. There is only one country in which you focus the majority of hotels and restaurants that is Es Pujols, very nice to do a tour in the evening.
The week in FORMENTERA is passed quickly and I must say that among the other islands of the Balearic Islands is one that most struck me, and this holiday will remain a beautiful memory!
