Part 3: Tour of the charming Andalusia, a magnificent region of southern Spain
Località: CordobaRegione: Andalusia Stato: SPAIN (ES)
Departure to Cordoba, while the temperature rises and we continue to travel between olive groves as far as the eye. We stop at the city entrance, near the Roman bridge on the Guadalquivir, a mighty feat of engineering and 240 meters long with 16 arches. The goal is then the Mezquita-Catedral, the largest mosque in the European Union that could contain up to 40,000 faithful, the only one inside a Christian cathedral. Each side of the cathedral preserves the ancient gates, inside the Patio de los Naranjos welcomes visitors with orange trees and palms planted after the Christian reconquest in replacement of the Arab olive groves. The interior offers a show of uncommon beauty, divided into 19 aisles in length and 37 for the width, supported by 850 granite pillars green or purple, precious marble. One of the oldest neighborhoods of Cordoba is the Jewish Quarter, the Jewish quarter where you overlook the white houses adorned with geraniums by an explosion that hide beautiful patios.
