8/12/2006:
who wants to take the plane and fly to our dear Spain!
other air, another mentality, another everything.
On the map we are close but otherwise ... ... alas, l 'Italy must still learn a lot.

Click air .. but is it? New Spanish low cost, promotion tickets at 5 euros, NO ONE CAN 'do not buy them and then test the company is not it? That made 44 euros per person including taxes and on December 8, we are in VALENCIA in perfect time.
Our apartment is situated in the Barrio del Carmen (Old Town), taxiiiii, 14 euro in four and we are at home (the apartment you can find it on http://www.valenciashortstay.com/corona/apartment.htm).
Beautiful house, clean and equipped with everything, just a bit cold but there are electric heaters.

The neighborhood is really characteristic is full of clubs, the "café" to restaurants. We noticed that the café is very popular, are excellent points to meet for a tea or a cerveza and some 'talking.
We make a stop for a cerveza first then take a walk in the direction of Plaza de la Reina, but we have a hunger to be wolves, and we just shot a nice Kebab affect us but the space panza in a paella for a dinner! In fact nothing but great beer paella!

Stroll we arrived at Plaza de la Virgen, very beautiful and I would say that along with Plaza de la Reina is the most popular, here was a typical Christmas market clearly where we stopped to browse.
We went to the Plaza Redonda, where days are open to so many shops selling lace and souvenirs. We arrived to the Plaça Ayntamiento passing in front of the colored fountain that recalls the magic of Barcelona.
Before returning the apartment we stopped for a birretta in a tiny bar called "el Cafetin" near plaza de San Jaime in mind for the color pink wall above one of which was hung a "shit" with fake flies near many always fake, nice idea!

The second day it has a magnificent sun and a cold wind frizzantino.
Descend on the latest (11.00) with the objective of the Central Market and eat paella at a kiosk! The Spanish markets are always lively and large, the portion devoted to "fish" is what I like best, the fruit is always displayed neatly, not to mention all those beautiful ham "and jamon serrano pata negra" .... Va bè , sorry but I have food and a certain harmony ...
Well well, now we must look for the chioschetto that makes paella at 3 euros, at the right hand of the market (so I read on the internet), but as revenue if there are more than one? .. The company was easy and we soon found, of course at 12:15 to eat the paella ... .. well yes, we have done, all four of the bar to taste paella, tortillas and cervezas, which schifosoni!

Near the market is to see the "Lonja de la seda" that the building is a symbol of the Gothic-and gold in VALENCIA in 1996 that became a part of UNESCO, the visit is free not to be missed.
We continue to walk and then catch the bus to spend the day at City of Arts and Science that we believe is worth only that the trip to VALENCIA. Even the rather futuristic style has its charm, do just the ticket for Oceanographic because we have only the afternoon and we just do not see the rest. We pay a reduced fare for students, am I the only one not to be but we were asked to check the documents, then ... .... Come to the close turn to the halls of this wonderful aquarium, surely I liked more than Barcelona.
What is for dinner?
We decide to go to the beach Malvarrosa to eat a po 'di pesce. They help us understand how stop and get a handful of elderly people who gentilissimo waited the bus with us that among other things tell us that we eat some good 'everywhere.

Arriving on site are a restaurant after another, but there is a desolation, or are all inside to eat or not there is a soul in your lap!
After making a selection menu for a one of us stuck in a place say bruttina, now we have inside that we eat here or take us down the slope? .. (And menomale we had made a careful selection .... )
Okay, beer and so the restaurant "La Pepica" for more of this restaurant if they hear a lot in the internet forum of VALENCIA, and we understood why. The fish is excellent, we remain enthusiastic.

Go home by taxi, we are tired, we are leaving to plaza de la Reina, and then just walk along Calle de Caballeros, then we sleep while Bizio Faith and have the courage to have another beer!

Last Day: Time is on our side. Today we are alone, they are parties and then continue to massacre their feet around the city.
In short we saw the Plaza de Toros where the circus was not so we went inside, we took a tour of the shops under the arcades.
We wanted to see the Mestalla but we have changed almost near to the destination to go to the port's cup. We went to the storage area of Mascalzone Latino, but there was absolutely nothing and then we went to the "Paseo Maritimo", I would say that the area is not much, enough "dead", but in short, to the bridge we expected a 'more of life and instead ... ..
Back in "town" we stop to see on a bridge near Serranos Towers to the many football teams who played on what was once the bed of the Turia River.

We concluded the day with a dinner at the "Ceveceria 100 montaditos" http://www.cerveceria100montaditos.es/ in plaza de la Reina. It is part of a chain of premises that are located a little 'all over Spain.
You sit, you compile your menu by choosing between 100 types of montaditos or small bocadillos (bread) stuffed in every thing, you go to cash, you pay and expects to be called to the microphone to pick up montaditos, carino no?

End holiday in VALENCIA.
What we did:
- Try the horchata, a typical drink from VALENCIA to enjoy sitting in one of the oldest horchaterie in Plaza de la Virgen.
- See a show all'Hemisferic in the Ciutat de Artes y Ciences
good excuse to return!
The city is a jewel, VALENCIA is waiting for you!
And as always GOOD TRIP to who is and who to leave with his head never stops traveling.
