What a surprise!
Without knowing it I have booked a long weekend in Madrid in the course of the Spanish Gay Pride!
I stayed at the luxury Infantas "right in the heart of the Barrio de Chueca (4-star hotel is superb location for the nightlife and for elegance and breadth of the room).
We arrive with Easy Jet flight from Milan (90 euro each) at 8.30 pm in Madrid, now taxi to the hotel (in fact ).... Checa already off the window I see the grandeur and beauty of the palaces of Madrid. ... and the excitement starts to infect ....... but the fun comes when we are near the hotel and the taxi driver informs us that can not get to Calle des Infantas where there is precisely because the hotel the roads are closed for a party in progress! We first download two tracks (on the Gran Via) at a cost of 35 euro (it was better subway !!!!). We are with our trolley towards the hotel and start to feel a great casino bagordi .... come on Calle des Infantas and stand speechless !!!!!!!! Thousands of people in the middle of the road who drink and smoke dancing on the notes of music dance fired a thousand !!!!!!!.... we look in the face and say .... We start from the Gran Via, where we unleashed with shopping to get to the Puerta del Sol, then proceed to Plaza Mayor, magnificent example of Spanish piazza with a building (the Panederia) completely painted on the facade! Then continue until the Almudena Cathedral and Royal Palace, the plaza of the East and the opera house and then walk back wearily up at the hotel. What sfacchinata! But we are content with the beautiful photos and shopping (Zara, NH etc.)
The evening FLAMENCO! We are advised by Lonly Planet suggests that all other places the Café de Chintas, I booked a table for two by the reception and the evening (at 10:30) we are ready for dinner ..... the building from outside is beautiful, just we think that a nice "played" in every way ...... instead entering the place proves to be more resigned and a few waiters and rude.

But also reaches the dinner (menu of the house) that is proving a real crap ... type canteen ... the house wine is undrinkable ... starting to turn the "so-called" nervous and takes place on the show that for is not as good as we thought we thrill. The bill for two dinners with a horrendous fêtent wine is 150 euros! Cheat of nice place for tourists !!!!!
Broken from the hotel but come back in the air here now in Chueca festaiolo us to return the good humor and the desire for revelry insiemeagli Spanish friends!
THE day after the great day of the Gay Pride parade! Let's see the departure Puerta de Alacalá .... is a riot of music and celebration, the cheerful and colorful people that has a great desire to bring casino uralre and pride to the world of diversity!
A spectacle to which I was ever to participate and that left us breathless!
FIESTA in the evening through the night in the street and squares of Chueca bands with tin drums played by students of pride are the rivers of people dancing and fun vogliosa to unpack. too good .... too difficult to express in words the feelings of those moments!
The next day ... you wake up late Sunday night and we have to fly to milan .... with a little 'of sadness at the thought of the return (and a little' down to the heavenly dela evening before) go to the museum Reina Sofia to see the Picasso's Guernica ... Marvelous !!!!!!!
Then we drag until the Prado to see the Goya in particular ..... always exciting frameworks dle "Black Period", in addition to the famous Maya and Maya Desnuda Vestida, then cooked by weariness rest there a while 'on the grass of the park Buen Retiro, wait until six in the evening return to hotel to take the luggage.
Unfortunately, it is truly over .... but will certainly not short the memory of one of the most fun holiday of my life !!!!!!!!
