... For the first wedding anniversary could not miss a romantic getaway and since we are still at the stage of the festivities ... we went to Stockholm!
The only sour note is that the anniversary was just at Easter and therefore travel at that time was a bit 'too expensive!
The package flight hotel (Norvegian Scandic Park Hotel) has cost one thousand euro.
On the plane we met an Italian professor who now lives in Sweden for years, a person who has exquisite 'delighted' his brilliant company, and he also told us that in addition to Norvegian, the Ethiopian Airlines is a good company for low cost Sweden.
We arrived at Arlanda airport and we took the Arlanda Express (the tickets are booked on the internet which cost 480 crowns in 20 minutes and we got to the T-Centralen). On the day of return to Rome we went to the airport by bus ... always starts from the central station, it takes 40 minutes and costs about half ... definitely more comfortable!
The hotel is located in a beautiful and quiet residential area, very clean and nice, has 'saved' for an excellent breakfast as lunch or dinner we had to make do with meals ... not very inviting and very expensive!.
The convenient Metro Stadion we could carry with two stops at Central Station (T-Centralen) where there is the heart of the city, the third stop in the old port district of Gamla Stan.
Stockholm useful, I think that 72 hours costs 395 crowns and allows you to take all public transport and in addition there is free admission to museums / parks.
We would not have agreed ... usually prefer to wander around the city on foot, and then we took a book of tickets at a cost of 180 crowns, you can make a total of eight trips on the metro and the ticket lasts 60 minutes.
The weather was wonderfully beautiful!
Sun every day and the morning of departure a beautiful snowfall surprised us!
Definitely recommend a wonderful day in the park where you can find the true Sweden Skansen (entry without funicular 140KR - I think you may very well not take the funicular up ... it's a really safe!) ... Red wooden houses that are physically been taken in several places Sweden and brought to this great museum / park outside. Find the people dress in costumes of the past, the baker's yeast where to buy delicious cinnamon, some works ceramics, typographer, who is simply working at home to knitting ... very very distinctive.
Then there's the part where you find bears, reindeer, bison, seals ... we had the good fortune to meet two squirrels that we have crossed the road!
Too bad the camera battery we have left at the entrance of the park!
At the Vasa museum we did not go ... we have preferred to be outdoors, since the good weather and enjoy the view along channel sometimes ice cream (the navigability resumed after April 9 ... Sigh!), Walk along the beautiful canal in Norr Mälarstrand ( opposite the equally beautiful walk Soder Malm) and then arrive at City Hall, Town Hall. One evening we went to Ostermalm Gustav Adolf to the park and then arrive at Nobel Park (almost opposite Skansen), an area full of historic houses offices of various embassies ... paradise! Stockholm in the summer should be a triumph of green and colorful flowers!
... Deserves another visit!
