New year's day in Lucerne

 

Mestre - Lucerne

We started at 9am from Mestre and the fact that risotto much traffic we arrived in Lucerne in the early afternoon. We arranged in our 4-star hotel and pay 295 euros with breakfast for 2 nights in double room, while our friends had booked at the Wilden Mann Romantik Hotel chain, but pretty expensive. We did a walk in the center just in time to buy chocolate and marzipan piglets beneaugurali as the 17 stores have closed and these were also the days 1 and 2 despite the tourists. Swiss precision! The City 'and' very bright, which overlooks the lake of 4 cantons nvigabile clean and crossed by wooden covered bridges very special. The Chapel Brucke in'93 that was partially destroyed by fire and Reussl Brucke. It breathes an air fin de siecle with majestic hotels on the lakefront that remind us that stayed here, among others, the Queen Victoria, Wagner and Goethe.
The evening dinner at Wilden mann with nouvelle cousine (little expensive but enjoyable Italians from us) and champagne, accompanied by a duo that played sweet music. All very romantic.

Lucerne

The first morning of the year we turned to the city 'old squares overlooked by frescoed palaces, the walls and towers intact the churches of the Jesuits and St. Leodegar, the lakefront and in the afternoon a visit to the new KKL ( Kunshistoriche Museum Luzern) a modern art museum where there is also an auditorium of about 1,800 seats and a bar restaurant overlooking the lake.
The evening dinner in a very romantic clubs near the cathedral, the prices, unfortunately, still very high.

Lucerne - Lugano - Mestre

On Sunday morning we started the return journey and we stopped in Lugano for a walk along the lake, and I do not 'like this very famous place' and I 'seemed a little' cold despite the splendid sun.
