I do not date because they do not remember. However this was not the only time in Switzerland. The tour was made in December with a WW Pole and is an integral part of a wider trip including the central and southern Germany. Arrival at the border of Switzerland Basel, visit the city as a first contact with the Swiss architecture of the Piazza del Mercato. Transfer to Zurich in the evening, not being the capital is the most important city of the country. The historic center is developing on the Limmat, a channel that goes straight to the lake. Here are the best shops but also the ancient palaces and cathedral. At the end of lungocanale beautiful view from the lakeshore. After an overnight stay close to Lucerne the following morning we visit this city lies the lake. The Swiss have quickly rebuilt the most important monument in the city, a bridge of wood decorated with historical paintings in which he went to fire a few years ago. Near the lakeside there is a museum on the means of transport also visible from the outside through the windows. From here begins the Swiss Alps, Interlaken, a town overlooking two lakes, crossing for a road up the mountain to Lauterbrunnen. From the local station you can reach Wengen, the famous ski resorts connected only by the train that climbs up the mountain. Going back to the road, before returning to Interlaken, take the turn off for another ski resort, where there Gridelwald takes a storm of snow that will make us difficult to return to the main road. With difficulty to come back from Interlaken along the lakeshore where we reach the road to Bern. The capital of the Swiss Confederation welcomes us surrounded by a soft blanket of snow which highlights its palaces, the polychrome statues, fountains. In the homeland of watchmakers not fail to see the famous clock tower. Sleep on the way to Freiburg where we plug the following morning. This is a historic town situated on a hill, like a locomotive train which is the cathedral. After curiosity on the streets of Freiburg we head on Lake Geneva to make brief stops at famous resort of Vevey and Montreux. To the south is back in the alpine area, to Visp a road along a narrow valley up to Tasch, then only by train you can reach the famous ski resort of Zermatt, privileged observation point for the Matterhorn, but it is cloudy and you can not see it. The next day, go over to Visp and Brig crossed we visited a village of ethnic Walser dwelling houses with wood. Brig I took the road that climbs up to the Simplon Pass and are down here in Australia. Before this tour I had been to Switzerland several times for transit or residence and had seen: Winterthur (two visits to stay at home with friends), the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen (twice referred with a boat trip that sull'isoletta the form), St. Gallen, Lugano, Luzern, Bern and Geneva where I had walked the lakeshore.
