A weekend on the red train (the legendary Bernina Express) across the Grigioni Canton in Switzerland
For the bridge on 2 June it decides to grant a trip with the legendary Bernina Express, the red train that will take us from Tirano (still in Italy) to St. Moritz (Switzerland).
The choice will be particularly interesting because in these regions a tour of Italy goes to Tirano, with his bicycle, colored T-shirts and of course the great supporters of the inhabitants in the morning parade was thronged to see their idols ...
In fact the three days that we took the train journey takes only 1 June, starting early in the morning at the station of Tirano and back in the late afternoon, after a walk through the streets of St. Moritz.
The landscapes through which you are really beautiful and at least one of the two sections worth of tickets (also available at the station, but we had booked via the Internet) for the convoys with panoramic carriages, which have much larger windows and allow you to better enjoy the scenery and take some pictures (the reflection of glass permitting).
There are several stops and some variants of the route: we come to the last stop, while other fellow travelers stop for the ski lift that goes up to the glacier and fall at the other of the many walking trails or bike paths. I must say, Switzerland is very organized in this kind of thing!
The choice to get to St. Moritz is revealed partly wrong: this Saturday in June, with the winter season already ended and the summer season not yet started, many shops and restaurants are closed and in some places roads and building are being refurbished .
But we do not miss a step in the centuries-old chocolate shop of Hanselmann (Via Maistra 8 - www.hanselmann.ch), where to buy the few souvenirs that we report in Milan.
In terms of ideal time might be a suitable solution for all seasons, because the mountain scenery can give different views for each change: from the lush green of fresh grass in spring, to the white expanse of ice and long winter.

Ah, the company has submitted a nomination for "Rhaetian Railway in the Albula / Bernina" a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In our opinion, they deserve it!!
